It has a mechanical calculator? Wouldn't the radar require an analogue computer anyway?
Can you perhaps tell us a bit about how Shilka tracks a target and does the target calculations?

During development, the main aim was the creation of a robust and cheap system, that each (!!!) WarPact regiment could have equipped with 4 of these vehicles.

The small, low power, pencil beamed 1RL33 (Gun Dish) is providing only the target coordinates, and speed.

The 180kg (!!!) SRP (mechanical fire solution calculator) has ~60 electrical motors, and ~110 axis with associated gears.

1, Vx unit
2, Vh unit
3, Beta-u unit with K1*
4, X unit
7, H unit*
8, Fi unit*
9, Tu unit*
10 BP control unit*
11, Y unit
13, Vy unit

* visible in SAMSIM

It takes the whole space before the commander.

From the X,Y,H and Vx, Vy, Vh coordinates provided by the 1RL33 (Gun Dish) radar, it calculates the Tu time, when the bullet would hit the target. From this, it calculates Fi (elevation plus bullet drop angle) and Beta-u (azimuth lead angle).
The gyroscope will provide K1 data in case the vehicle moves, to stabilize the firing solution.

A question like that?

The minimum height of the shelling targets the Shilka what?

At 100 meters, can hit a target less than 100 meters?

As I understand it to release more very soon.

I thought at the end of 2012, you yourself said at the end of the year!

Probably at the end of December.

I don't chase them away certainly do quietly, just I was thinking at the end of this year for this calculation.

Beta version can be put as an example was a S-200 Vega then

It has not that altitude limitation, because it does not utilize radio proxy fuse.
It can be effectively used against lightly armed vehicles 1km away.

The only limiting factor is maximum gun depression. (- 00-85)

That is at a height of 100 meters.

An example of a Tomahawk missile to shoot down as an example of the Shilka may likely end.

I believe this is a result against the models from "Have Blue" program... And Vega-31 meets some "Boforce" on it's way to the ground after "Neva"'s deadly kiss...

While the earlier SAM systems simulated in SAMSIM had the luxury of spraying its prey with thousands of fragments, the Zeus (ZSU-23-4 Shilka) bullets has to directly hit their targets.

This is when target aspect, related to the incoming bullet angle comes into play...
... it has direct relation of the chances, where bullets will achieve kill or just hit.

Red area, where an OFZT hit will cause a kill.
White area, where OFZT hit would cause only damage.

Hi, are targets going to try to evade us? In this 3DAAR it is flying strait and level. Will it change in final version?

Mouse for the switches, the Z/X/C/S keys for changing screens, and the SPACE key for the trigger.
