Sweet ride, Turk. Looking forward to seeing the pics with your gear installed.

BTW, we have those same stools!

That is keenly authentic... Even comes with bar stools pilots learn to become so familiar with.

Oh and Einstein- that's not a landing gear... It's a bike... (I think)

lol

Should I rephrase it to "Looking forward to seeing the pics with your flight simulation equipment installed."?

<Burns>Excellent!</Burns>

If you haven't flown the Shark before, Beans, be aware: there's a non-intuitive learning curve with the Trimmer and autopilot. I'd love to walk you through it, but here's a shameless plug for some reading material here: http://www.simhq.com/_air13/air_428a.html

LOL! Yes that is my Stumpjumper(bike).

I am trying to figure out the "proper" rudder placemen. I notice currently after sitting in the chair in the current setup, when I get up my low back and hamstrings are screaming at me.
Then again it might be the seat angle or the side bolsters, guess my ass is wider that I though... duh

Highway has been up for about 12 hours so far... nice and stable with some activity.

All missions have been updated to accommodate new reload file locations so should reload on their own.

I'm heading off to work tomorrow until Tuesday night so I won't see you guys online for awhile... I had SUCH a kickass time with you guys last night... well- two nights ago... I can't wait to dig into that again!

On another note... TURKEY! Nice looking rig you got there. My gf laughed a little bit because I have a matching "window dressing" on my window to block out the IR interference from the sun on my track IR. I must admit, I was somewhat redeemed in my function > form solution to that problem!

On a further note...

Many of you who have been in the firehouse server for awhile... either flying with us or actively contributing to the thread or both will have earned the trust of our admin group will be granted the priviledge of "admin" on the firehouse server. This will not necessarily gain you access to the server comp (that takes time) but with admin status in slmod 4.2 it DOES give you some power to decide who is going to leave and never come back... and which mission is going to load up.

This is a link to some general commands that can be issued in the chat line:

SLMOD 4.2

I also got a lead on some good digital arts software that will help me beef up my youtube contributions... apparently whatever I'm using now is pretty weaksauce. I'll be able to research it while I'm at work but I won't be able to apply anything until I get back.

On an additional note- as long as there is no incredible resistance I'm planning on issuing the firehouse out to einstein for one of his fly-ins. I think the focus will be on operation of the KA-50... but there are slots for many current aircraft available. (A-10C, Su25T, KA50, F-15C, P-51)

Not going to lie- the mission IS a bit rough around the edges... similar to the old "playground" concept we flew last time but now everyone is compacted into a tighter space, with a few more active areas, the tankers are brought in a bit closer, some additional clinents (F-15Cs with some MiG-29s to chase around). I've added JTAC functionality as well- with some coordinates only and some smoke marking / direction commands.

I'd LOVE to be there for this even but I don't think it's going to work out since I'm going to be at work... Einstein appears to be planning it for Sunday afternoon / evening. I envision it like the last fly in... and if people are talking over one another then I'll suggest you move to different team speak channels. I emphasize the fact that the mission is designed as a training platform with long term tanker support and anti aircraft assets. MANY of the anti air is IMMORTAL- they're just there to spice things up. If you want to wuss out and sit off at standoff range (in TRAINING) then go ahead. My suggestion to you is to find another way.

Einstein- if you'd like to broadcast some intentions in the thread- I'll invite your input!

The Crew's Pub's water feature needed emergency hanger repairs.

... and now for something completely different ...
OTOH, now that I have LOMAC installed again I can open all of my old A-10A & F-15C missions - a treasure trove of fun stuff. These older LOMAC missions did not have triggers and are not too complicated as such (we sure can improve on that however). Had not been for the ^^^ above - just the thing for a holiday and nice weather.

The original Nuke Plant and Road Kill are in that group. And Bay Of Hogs - gosh I wish that would frackin work.

Me thinks it will be not too much to re-release many of these missions in DCSW. They are A-10C & F-15C focused.

The (Beta, 23-Nov-2012) FC3 F-15C is OK. It is functional - the radar w o r k s well and Fox 3! and Fox 2! My pal Jaybird and I worked out a lot of the F-15C control assignments last night - computers side by side -
