Are the range gate buttons the red and black buttons at the bottom of the Range officer's screen?

No, that two switch and two button (below the four lamp) is used to control the 1RL33 (Gun Dish) radar.
(from left to right)
- preheating
- anode voltage
- high voltage on
- high voltage off

I foresee an issue with the upcoming Shilka sim...
... as the Shilka ha 6+ modes of operations, and the sim will only allow 2, there will be numerous unused switches and buttons.

Maybe, just maybe if samsim upgraded the engine, then those modes could be used, along with SA-13 and SA-9, but until then, we will have to live with that, that is my guess.

question, why can't all active switches make the Shilka!

Next, there's a picture, where 60 minutes, we have that the radar gun or what?

and where these 4 lamps is that tracking or what?

Are there any shared system elements with the KRUG? The radar display really look identical.
At least we won't have to worry about overheating gyros here. :P

Something just occurred to me. Since the ZSU-23-4 is such a short ranged system, will a single player be able to run the system? All the systems in the game actually are run by multiple humans at once, but because we're fighting targets 10-30km away, with quick work you can do all the jobs and make the system work. But with the ZSU-23-4, targets will be just 1-3km away. Will a single human be fast enough to do all the jobs?

You will have to worried about our inbuilt gyro, to reach operating temperature...

It will be kind of an adrenaline rush...
biggrin

... but Shilka has the following ranges:

1RL33 Radar (Gun Dish)
maximum detection range: 20km
detection range for small targets: 12~15km

23mm gun system
maximum range where firing solution is computed: 9km
maximum range of fire: 4km
maximum range of effective fire: 2,5km

The ZSU-23-4V1 model (selected for the SIM) was exported only into 3 countries.
Eastern Germany, Hungary, and Egypt.

Small firing zone...

Shilka had several versions becoming one after another as incremental developments batches, so one version was available only for few years.

ZSU-23-4 - first small batch for troop testing
ZSU-23-4V - only for Soviet Army
ZSU-23-4V1 - first export version received by GDR, Hungary and Egypt only from 1969 to 1970
ZSU-23-4M1 - only for Soviet Army
ZSU-23-4M2 - only for Soviet Army
ZSU-23-4M3 - only for Soviet Army
ZSU-23-4M - second (main) export version received by all foreign customers from 1970 to 1980

Great Pictures!

Thanks Hpasp!

Question and Shilka can Phantom knock down?

Probably only at low altitude.
