The official Railworks website lists many websites for forums and such, but I thought I'd ask the experienced folks here for recommendations first. I'm just looking for places to begin reading about good DLC, for free or for pay. Thanks in advance! smile

There are some really good sites out there for DLC (and advice etc). I frequent two of the major ones, UKTrainsim Link to UKTrainsim and Railworks America Link to RWAmerica . Both sites offer file downloads of freeware, and have links to payware companies. UKTrainsim has several community free-ware project packs for download that are very well done (and come with an auto-installer to save fussing). For payware, here is a link to Just Trains site (sister site for Just Flight) and they offer some really good add-ons for Trainsimulator JT Link Hope that helps get you started. smile

I do recommend Ukts for content and the forums.

The freeware packs that Leaf suggested are a must have.

I believe there is at least one...you might check UKTS for Blackpool Tram which was an ongoing effort-- I'm unsure if it has been ported into TS2013 however.

Aw crap!!! The hooks are in me and they are barbed! I decided to try a mission made for the Dash 9 addon I bought last week and it required the Cajon Pass addon. So I clicked "Buy." Tell me honestly friends, am I a lost cause already?

Thats how they got me too driving If you keep your eye on Steam there are usually some really good DLC discounts on RSC stuff during the big sales events, and several of the 3rd party companies also offer discount sales too (Just Trains/Just Flight for example, or Armstrong Powerhouse etc). Iron Horse (IHH) makes some excellent steam era beasts as well. I'm finding all the DLC for FSX bewildering at the moment as I just got into it hehe. Welcome to the brotherhood.

I agree with Leaf. If you can, hold out until sales time to get your DLC.
They've been known to have discounts of up to 80%, but usually at least 50%.
I've got quite a big DLC collection now but I havn't payed full price for any of it, including the base game
