Hi,
After a layoff of about a year, I have been getting back into TW, mostly to try out the new Nato Fighters 5 mod. However, I noticed that with the latest updated version (july 2012), I am getting much more kills than before, my guns are more accurate and my missiles are more reliable. I would like to think I am getting better at this game, but is it possible TW has made it easier to hit targets with guns/missiles?
If yes, is it possible to mod to go back to the old behavior?

They have changed the coding quite a bit in 2012 especially relating to Missile effectiveness.
Anyway if you want it how it was then either reinstall to an earlier patch - or use the weapons editor, or an SF2 weapons pack

I would like to find out the rationale. edit: never mind, found the thread at TW. The changes was brought in the June patch, making the player's missiles more effective than the AI's missiles and found a workaround at Combat Ace.

Could you give a pointer to where you found the workaround?
Like you, I've been away from Strikefighters for a while but will soon be installing it again on my new PC. Yes, please, I would also like to get me that workaround. Any links for it?? Thanks in advance. My best regards, Kodiak.

Someone on CombatAce suggested extracting and modifying the "weapondata.ini" file, but I have no tried yet.
I am getting stuttering even with the july update, something which has never happened before, so am thinking of rolling back to the mar. 2012 or nov. 2011 version since I do not have SF2NA.

No with SF2 you use the weapons editor and edit each field for each weapon. Or you drop weapons into the relevant folder (Editing Weapondata.ini was something you do in SF1 - and even then you need to use the weapons editor to save it and create the correct dat file. Yes the later SF2NA patch stutters badly for me with avionics60 based radar on.
