I noticed others posted about these little things a long while ago... but thought it a gimmick so i ignored them... but out of the blue picked up a set and tried them this AM... highly recommended for anyone who plays on the 360, PS3, or even with a controller on PC... It was instantly recognized as a big helper in bringing sight on target and getting more kills.... You see I'm more of a slow, tactical player... in in most if not all games the fast reflexes of the youth usually get me before bringing my sight to bear...

I first tested Counter Strike on the 360... CSGO is one of the few games that seem to make the conversion from PC to 360, bringing the PC feel of handling and shooting... I really really suck at this one... but instantly, 3 matches not one death and most kills on team 2 out of 3 times... was just amazing how much faster I was on target.

So then tried MW3... best kill/death ratio ever for me... we still lost, lol.

and then I tried it on my PC 360 controller... I love BF3's looks, sounds and gameplay on PC... but quite frankly, it can be a little uncomfortable as a left handed gamer, stretching my fingers around to hit heys... my hands get sore fast playing this action shooters with a mouse and keyboard... so I tried playing with my 360 gamepad with the new Kontrol Freek attachments... WOW... so much easier, still not as fast or great as a mouse but for my purposes, I was getting kills finally on the PC...

Seriously... if you play games with a gamepad... spend the 15 bucks and buy you a set... WOW.

I bought my set of Kontrol Freeks around last Christmas.

I use just one, on the right analog stick and I find it really helps with aiming.

I used to use one on the left analog stick too but took it off because it just didn't feel right.

The guy that came up with these was in my gaming group at 2old2kwit. It's really taken off. It started with the U shaped Speed Freek ones for racing games that make the controller stick much better for steering. People swear by those too, next best thing to a wheel. Nice to see a real gamer succeeding with a product they came up with.

Ya great gaming with you tonight... wish comms worked in game, I was on TS... you are the best damn pilot I've seen so far in game, I was blown away by your skills, going to have to record it next time, lol.

The PC maps are so much bigger, more objectives then the consoles... I was a little lost at times... but also there are so many damn players, 64 I think... alot more run and gun and action then the 360 version... IMO... but still the PC sights and sounds are F'in incredible.

BTW, you know these things work when i get the accuracy ribbon in my first full game of using them on the PC with a gamepad, lol... rarely get that anywhere.

I remember beta/(pre retail) testing these with Forza 1 and 2, then with GhostRecon2

Forza and THQ's MotoGP were the Primary Test Titles when we were testing them..

Do these things work cross controller or are the console specific to work? I'm trying to get some from Amazon. I found a set that I like but they say they are for PS3 so I assume they would not work on a Xbox360 controller?

Coot , As Far as I can Tell It should work,,
I have 2 different set of these,, One set has 6 little tabs that clip onto the analog stick,, The other set has 3 tabs,,
Both of these were for the Xbox 360 controller, HOWEVER Both Sets also Fit the PS3 controller.
That makes me think they should all fit both,, But that's Just my personal best guess based on the ones I have.

I ordered a set of the FPS Freek Elites this morning in anticipation of Black Ops 2. Hopefully, I can get my sights on target quicker.
