Nice review, Conny! thumbsup

That sounds very interesting indeed. And seems to work as intended!
Never got sold on the original Buttkicker idea completely, but with this software a Buttkicker added to my rig seems a lot more sensible.
Now I only have to sell that idea to my wife. yep

Time is the only luxury.

Great review Conny, I've considered a Buttkicker in the past but because I share my office with wife and kids I wasn't sure if the vibrations sounds would annoy them, can you tell me how audible the transducers are when vibrating the chair?

Also I totally agree with you about how bad the iRacing tire scrub sound change has been, personally that has really messed up my feel for the car traction ever since and contributed to me taking time off from iRacing since I don't have enough time available to practice and relearn to get the feel, if this helps make up for it, I am definitely interested.

Thanks guys biggrin

There was just an update released on SimVibe.
I forgot to mention the great feature of the autoupdater.
It will let you know when a update is released and install it.
Quick and easy.

This update fixed the issue with GSC having extremely low revs for the Engine RPMs.
Now it works perfectly as per default. I deleted the profiles I had done, but made one extra for the Reiza F1 only,
as I thought the low revs actually were at a bit to low frequency.

Audible, It all depends on.

1.How sturdy you chair is. I have a real car seat and it's firmly attached with a huge bolt there the belt bucket would attach.
2.How high you turn up the volume on the amp. You can make this transducer pop and rattle quite high.

If I'm in the same room, yes you will most probably hear it if I don't use the main speakers but the headset.
Would I call it annoying? No at least not as I use it . My wife sits 1 meter behind me at her computer, and so far she has not complained when I'm driving. On the other hand, I have the headset on, so I would not hear her anyway wink

If you are in another room, you will most likely not hear it unless you hit the very lowest hertz with high volume, then it will rattle.

For now,you won't feel the actual slip as iRacing does not have an output for it.
But they are working on finding a solution around this as I understand it.
However, in tight turns you can feel the shocks and bump texture work, so it does give some feedback, but not in all situations

Project CARS has advised that they will have output data further along their development plans.
So that is another one that we can enjoy with this software.

Awesome.
I've been using a force feedback setup in my seat to feel the bumps and bangs for years now and finally someone is producing a system based on game data to give the user high fidelity feedback where its really needed.

Nice review!
Is the SimCommander software pretty lightweight?

From what I have been seeing in the iracing forums it doesnt use up many cpu cycles, 2-3 percent.

Not sure what machine that was on though.

Great review.
A couple of questions: You answered about hearing the unit, what about feeling it? Does it vibrate the floor? and if so would a rubber pad absorb it or is this not a problem?

GTR Evo is listed as supported, is GTR2 supported as well? What about GPL and GTL?
Thanks

It all depends how you mount it. Most noise is from the chair being ratttled, My rig does not hade any pads.It stands directly on the floor an there is no sound / vibration passed through.
However, I'm in the basement, so if any noise is passed if it's on the second floor, I could not tell.

GTR2 is not supported, and will not be.
GPL and GTL still not, and will probaly not be.

I'm running a 300 watt amp and the larger buttkicker transducer in my rig. The important question is: Does this work with flight sims. I see that DCS: World isn't in the list of supported sims, but can you create your own "profile" so that you can use it with whatever sim you want?
