My feed is starting to get spotty. Must be getting close to crashing the server Had the same problem on my XP computer. The feed on my Win7 computer is silky smooth at 1080p.

He did it.
Well done Felix.

Odd, he didn't break the record for time in freefall.

If I recall correctly, at the altitude he was at he wouldn't have felt much if anything from breaking the barrier. He was essentially in a vacuum.

So... speed of descent shortened the free fall time?
Most impressive whatever records were or were not broken. According to the Red Bull TV station here, he opened at 3km instead of the planned 1.5km, the difference would have been enough to make the additional seconds for the record. Assumption seems to be that either the tumbling phase in decent made him open early for some safety reason - or what I might rather believe, that he conciously left a record to Kittinger on purpose. Pretty awesome that Kittinger was the one checking the final items with him off.
