I lost almost a full squad, 6 mutons and that cyber disk play merry hell close quarters, lol. I am loving this game. Some aspects I do not like as only one sqquad so fighting panic is a pain, lol.

Playing normal on my first play through. I was thinking it was a little too easy, got over confident, got over extended, and disturbed a nest of crysalis. The perfect recipe for 3 dead squad mates in one round, not one mission, one round. Grrrrr!
My memorial is starting to get full.

WTF? I waited how many years for this sequel? What a stinking pile of dung this is. In fact to make sure I am right I only intend to play this for another 3-4 years max.

LOL I almost hit the reply button before I read the ending of your post. Classic + Iron Man = Awesome. Got 2 missions to flawless results, and then a bloodbath ...

I have to say that I didn't play the demo so I wasn't entirely sure how it would play. I was very surprised. It feels very good.I like the way it's done. This is going to keep me quiet on the long winter nights coming up. @ elanaiba.Lol,I was trying to wind the X-Com fans up a bit

Taking a break now... Not lost anyone yet, aside from the scripted ones you lose on the tutorial. Slowly building the base up but with China and Japan and Australia gone from the Council, I think I'm missing a few $$$. Normal difficulty.

gonna begin this over the weekend. Anyone got any advice that'll help me keep my squad members alive? Never played a turn based game before, btw.

Advice? Keep in cover, don't spread out too far, and play to your guy's strengths.
I'm not really liking my Sniper guy though. I got Squad sight for him, but having to run OR shoot per turn is getting annoying. I might go with the other option next time.

Get the archangle armor then the upgrade, makes the sniper in an open map awesome...

I take back what I said about Squad sight. Being able to shoot damn near across the map is awesome, and at 95% or greater accuracy too! For crash site maps, I just park him at the back with a good vantage point. City maps and the like I just try to find "open lines of sight" and try to cover those.

Lost a couple of guys by now, but nothing a quick reload won't fix I got a full squad of Colonels by now, loving it! 2 Assaults, 2 Heavies, and 2 Snipers... but the funny thing is my Heavies seem to get beaten down a lot. I could end some missions with just the Assault's armor taking the brunt of the punishment, but my Heavies need 4-6 days to heal. My sniper guy with Squadsight now has double-tap so he can take down a big enemy by himself, or two enemies. Yay!
