For me it seems that both the ROF webpage and the game server is down.

Visiting riseofflight.com tells that the page doesn´t exist (I have it bookmarked).

Also starting ROF and attempting to login online fails.

Am I alone ?

Nope, not just you. I can't access their website/store either. Can login/play offline, but not online...

It´s weird...

I changed to my old internet provider, wich runbs at 10/2 mbit (I still have that active) and now I can acces the main page www.riseofflight.com with no problems.

But I cannot with my normal provider, wich runs at 30/30 mbit.

So I just mailed them....

In Windows, while connected to your faster ISP open up a Command Prompt and type: ipconfig /flushdns

Thanks for Your help guys.

You where right !
I contacted my internet provider and the problem was caused by some wrong DNS settings.

The weird thing was that only Rise of flight and one more webpage where affected.

Best regards

I have the same problem. I suddenly can't access the ROF site over O2(giffgaff) 3G on my phone. WIFI works fine. I haven't changed anything on my phone as far as I know, haven't updated to IOS6.

Weird, same thing happened to me tonight (same as OP, that is, dunno about the phone). ArgonV's ipconfig/flushdns solution worked. Never had this problem before except when ROF/777 servers really were down.

Thanks, ArgonV!

I'm getting it occasionally, but a page refresh is usually enough to get me in to the forum. Something screwey going on.

I had the same problem last night, but I knew it wasn't DNS cache, as I have the DNS client disabled, and do not allow a cache to be stored.

IT had to have either been the ROF Servers or somewhere in between, It cleared up after about an hour, hour and a half. Some times Admins need to shut down a server for maintenance, no biggie, just had to wait a little while to play.

A lot of times ISP equipment doesn't fully flush old DNS entries on their end, and they stay around until fully purged around the globe. Other times, the client is at fault if a page refresh hasn't occured.

ArgonV,

Ran ipconfig /flushdns but it didn't help. When I try to log in online it says there's a new update but when I click on update it says I'm okay.

Any more suggestions ?

I'm puzzled why some folks can get online and I can't.

Thanks

Did you try a repair of Rise of Flight? That's my last idea sadly...

Yes, the thought came in my mind last night before I went to bed.

Just did it and now everything is back to normal.

Thanks

I still can't get access via 3G (O2 Giffgaff) on either my phone or laptop. Both use different sim cards so I doubt the problem is at my end.

Strange, ROF is now accessable again over 3G for me. Nothing has changed at my end but suddenly its working.

Bad news is I can now access the site at work again wink
