This is very incredible news. My story:
Been flying for a very long time. Trying to learn to dogfight for more than a decade. However, I just couldn't get "it". I thought I understood lead pursuit and lag pursuit, thought I understood "the elbow" but it just never seemed to be enough. I kept getting in trouble. Not in the right position. Too often the tables would be turned. Being near the 6 was never a guarantee of success - often it would just be a prelude to another failure. I had read so many texts on what to do. Why was this not working?
By chance I happened upon two articles right here at SimHQ written by Andy Bush. They're in the library. They were written a long time ago - using Janes USNF as the sim. They are still VERY relevant. I read it - and I GOT it. I knew instantly something had changed in my understanding. I could see it. His words painted picture I needed. Difficult concepts were written as you would see it from your perspective. Seen this and things are good. See that and correct it so you see this. Simple as that. I could start to see when things were going wrong in advance AND I knew what to do to correct them. I still refresh myself on the concepts. He doesn't just know, he can explain.
Those articles changed my whole experience with simulations. They can change yours. Knowing that he is at the helm with this topic means that this will be a very informative place.
I've wrotenthis a few times in tha past but I can't write it enough. Thank you for those articles. Thank your for giving me a chance "up there."
