mmmmm, mission builder, what can and can you not do with it, this is the question full mission editor with creating everything from scratch with uploading your mission to meta server and downloading by other people is yet to come. Current mission editor is more like the 'quick battle' in il-2 1946 where you can set your own options.

I just started the beta of 'War Thunder' and 'World of Warplanes'. No comparison.
Race you to the Mucky Duck!

That I guess is the big question here, but has been stated on the FAQ of warthunder.com, under 'What plans do developers have for the nearest future of War Thunder?': * user missions and Full mission editor; http://warthunder.com/en/game/faq#q-52It's going to be interesting how Gaijin will make this feature available. My preferred way would be an all inclusive one time payment for use of all game content (maps, planes, etc.) with the FMB. Also wouldn't mind paying for new content later as it comes in the form of expansion packs. MAC

I am pretty pumped about War Thunder! As a veteran player of IL2FB I say WT may or may not be a "hard core sim" but it sure looks like a lot of potential for fun.
my system: Intel Core I7 920 @ 3570ghz Asus P6T MB 6 GB OCZ DDR3 RAM , dram freq 680 mhz, NB freq 2720 mhz Radeon HD 4870 w/ 1 Gb vram OS.. Windows 7 professional 64 bit WD 2 TB hard disk drive etc.

Indeed. I want something that is fun to play.I'm done with hardcore sims. Sometimes I just want something that I can play for 30 minutes or so for my 'sim fix'. So far the beta is showing me just that.

MAC, I noticed it does not state the word builder, but instead editor. * User missions and Full mission editor; Which implies... Can you get clarification on this wording. Greg

The current editor is like il2 1946 quick battle builder. So if they are releasing a full editor, logicaly it would imply it will be a builder as others will be able to play those user created missions. also this War Thunder players will be able to create their own missions with the Mission Editor. http://warthunder.com/en/game/faq/planesbattlesandflights/#q-18

Doubt I could get clarification on this, as there isn't much talk about future elements although the community would like more infos.
However, I believe what they're calling a Full mission editor would enable users to create missions to the same depth as there are in the game, basically enabling the very same toolset they are having. Gaijin released a Full mission editor for its Apache game, however without documentation so it wasn't used much by the community. Hopefully it would be different this time. I also believe they will make a system for exchanging/publishing missions. To me, user generated missions are the key to make WT interesting for the sim community. The other key would be a way to avoid the typical MMO ladder grind to access the FME.

They should include the ability to pay for FME, though not the cost of a limb.

It most certainly is fun. I gasp and giggle like a small child when playing. Really irritates the wife trying to watch the soaps.
