sa-6 deadly than sa-3



or sa-3 deadly than sa-6

I believe S-125 is more succesfull than 2K11 in last conflicts and has bigger kill envelope...

u meant was 2k12 right?

could u explain about it ??? why sa-3 has bigger kill envelope?

I think that this comparison is senseless.

Both system is deadly, but was designed for different purposes, being part of different Air Defense Systems.

2K12 KUB was designed to protect the advancing armored division assets...
(FROG nuclear missiles, Division HQ, Division Artillery, etc...)

- with the help of Strela-2/Igla (SA-7/14/16/18) at Battalion level
- Shilka & Strela-1/10 (SA-9/13) at Regiment level
- KUB (SA-6) at Division level
- KRUG/BUK (SA-4/11) at Army and Front level

S-125 Neva was designed to protect important heartland assets
(cities, air bases, Vega sites, etc...)

- S-200 Vega (SA-5) from long range
- S-75 Volhov/S-300PMU Volhov-M6 (SA-2/10) from medium range
- S-125 Neva (SA-3) from short range

2K11 - Krug
2K12 - Kub..

Dear Hpasp, tried to find some statistics from you about launches/kills drom S-125M and 2K12 during OAF, but with no luck, could you link your post here?

im not sure s-125 is deadly in this age command guided is archaic
sa-6 is mobile and method guidance is semi-homing



PS: The most important feature of KUB is that it makes dive on the target

witch one is deadly for 4th generation of fighter's???
