Just gonna throw out my 2 cents.

Maps on both the Xbox and PC look great. Better on PC if you have the horsepower to run it all on high.

General impression of Xbox...I am let down only because MBT's seem to be missing on many map/mission types. Also, since the server pops are smaller, generally 24 (or less..not sure why), the "epic" feeling of battles are not there. Also, on Xbox, seems there are too many jets. Doesn't feel like "Armor Kill" but "Air Kill" at times.

General impression of PC. Looks better if you are able to run it on high settings (as mentioned). MBT's are included in almost every if not every map/mission type. Air (jets) are not the huge factor they seem to be on Xbox. Still fun but not a game changer. Epic 64 player battles on all of the new maps are outstanding.

That's not an issue when your in a tank. I am expecting to see complaint posts on the BF3 forum saying how unfair it is to recons because their leet guns aren't one-shotting the tanks and they should be nerfed lol, they just will not get into tanks.

Yeah, you have to use hull down a lot, fire then reverse behind cover and so on. If you just tear out into the open (which most people do, it's like F1 with tanks some games) the TOWs and Javelin's lock you up in seconds and your dead.

I have thermal optics in MBT's and that helps a lot to spot tanks and infantry.

Hehe with a couple of other guys loaded with Stingers, we kept the lifespan of the enemy AC-130 to around 20 seconds... still think the AT needs a buff though - a single Javelin hit should at least cut speed or damage optics/weapons...

Rush gets extremely broken with anything less than 30 players simply because there isn't enough manpower to deal with the AC-130+ the additional threats of tanks and infantry seemingly spawning right on top of you with the AC-130 active. I almost think they could ditch the AC-130 for Rush mode altogether or make its spawn time A LOT longer.

The snow map is awesome, even for infantry!
A lot of sneaky roads, ambush places and fantastic
surroundings! It's pretty!

There will be a server patch tomorow, and the ac-130 will have a 90s spawn time instead of 60.

I found on the snow map that the C4 really comes into its own. I got 10 tank kills in a row simply from hiding in the rocks on the hill side, popping out every now and again and planting C4. Best done in hardcore. Good fun.

Javelins have already been nerfed, and the stingers range have been nerfed since the first patch.

prone in a small crack on the side of the mountain, with a Javelin and a recon guy with a SOFLAM, and a support guy with ammo,

I can take out vehicles, and air forces as long as he is painted with the SOFLAM, support is there to keep my ammo comming, and spray down any infantry dumb enough to come at me on foot,

unfortunately, its usually me and my brother vs everyone else, so My once recovering K:D Ratio is now going down again,lol, that 2 month break didnt help either. The Rudder Pedals on the Chopper seem crazy sensitive compared to other sims., even with sensitivity all the way down for my joystick, i may have to adjust the curves in my programming software.

I think my rudder pedals are mapped backwards now too?, Pushing my Right foot forward and left foot back turns the Chopper Left......

I absolutely love that snow map... incredible, intense firefights in the high mountains.

the server i was on only cycled 2 new maps.. there should be like 4.

It's the desert one that they've been touting as the largest ever.

I've still not seen any of 'em. Went to the pub last night and didn't get home until 2.30am. Now it's 6.30pm and I'm stuck at work, very annoying.

Arboz mountains do require a lot of walking and its plagued with snipers and the mortar seems to have no range at all:(
The one desert map (beside the ocean) is fun as three objectives are clustered in the center and there were some hellacious fights for those last night which were fun. Death Valley (the night map) is fun also. Just wish it was much darker with less visibility range.

Played a little last and got my butt kicked by snipers and javelins.

played last night,

was accused of hacking because i was double tapping people down with my G3A3.

then when I did finally get into a tank, i took down 2 choppers and a Jet with the main tank cannon.

roflmao.. the guys i killed were like "Nice" "Awesome shot", and the Admin was like "Stop Hacking SkateZilla"

I was like "WTF!? Im Not Hacking, Both Choppers were hovering, and the Jet was in a Low Glide towards me, easy shots with the cannon if you know the arc of the rounds, dont be mad because your clan sucks."

I shot a chopper down with the tanks main gun last night first time I've managed to do it.
