Hey guys! Kinda new here, so let me know if I miss anything.

The master mode button on my WH stick is busted. I find a lot of joy in modding stuff, so I decided to take the leap and open the beast up.
Besides, I have successfully disassembled a sealed push button for a mouse (broken spring) before, so what could go wrong?

I learned this much: the switch itself is constructed as the actuator that presses down onto a metal snap dome. If you don't know how those work, the metal snap dome by default is raised like a dome (very thin metal) and then collapses when you push the actuator. When the actuator is raised, the dome snaps back up to it's default position.

The problem is that the dome stays compressed. It's always down. I haven't actually repaired one of those, but there's no reason not to try (it's already broken). Otherwise I'm going to have to see if I can buy a new button from TM.

Anyone know how to get the dome to stay popped on the IC?

Thanks!
