During the "Baltic Express" flight, the HABU was not only tracked by the Swedish Air-force Radars, and 6 Vega (1 Polish, 5 Soviet) systems, but Swedish JA37 fighters from F17 Ronneby and MiG-25PD from the 787 IAP also made intercepts against it. There were several RC135s, and AWACS operating, and the F13 Norrk�ping JA37 Wiggens also made a HABU intercept (at 28:03), beside the F17 Ronneby jets. Last edited by Hpasp; 01/27/13 02:27 PM. You will be surprised as I was, that the confined airspace of the Baltic's (300x400km) was filled with: 1pcs SR-71 "Baltic Express" 3pcs RC135 EW plane 1pcs AWACS 2pcs JA37 (Swedish Fighter) from F13/F17 regiments 1pcs MiG-25PD from the GDR and only two civilian planes.
