Anyone know where to get the original game? I used to have it, but didn't take it with me when I moved out of my parents' house. I'd hate to have them try and track it down in all of my old junk and mail it to me.
I refuse to buy a flight sim that I have no interest in playing, on the off chance that MAYBE someday they'll make the one I really want to play.

Looks like Amazon has it for pretty cheap. Ok, thanks, I'll have a look.

Awesome! I hope this will be announced on the front page, as I stumbled across this just by chance here. SAR4 was a great sim. In fact, I have had tons of fun with all the SAR games, from the first one way back when. The helo flight dynamics were very well done!
In all my years I've never seen the like. It has to be more than a hundred sea miles and he brings us up on his tail. That's seamanship, Mr. Pullings. My God, that's seamanship!

Sorry for the late, guys, the short answer is that it's still a work in progress and I still have it on my hard drive... but it's on the backburner right now for few specific reasons:
- I lost my job so I don't have too much time to work on it
- I was a bit frustrated to not be able to access the terrains textures which seems to be hardcoded (unlike the sounds, the textures for the helos, seas and buildings).
if someone is interested to take on the project where I left it (all helos, seas textures done, sounds done, buildings to do and terrains to decode) I can send him all the sources I have at the moment. (send me a PM)
