Fantastic sea rendering!
Looking from this view, waves should be probably 1-1.50 meters height at least = noway to land a WW1 seaplane on this place exitstageleft

How much FPS will we get with this water rendering ? 2 ? 10 ? 40 ?

Good question - but I would actually think there are a TON less textures to render flying over this water, compared to, say, Arras, or No-Man's-Land. And modern video cards seem to eat this water stuff for lunch...

...so I'd suspect it should be right up there in FPS.

*shrug*

I'm not worried.

I agree with Brian.

I would expect the fps over water to be better than the fps over land. Lot less textures and trees to render.

Just as in Cliffs of Dover, if you want good frames in that game head for the Channel.

I would pre order the map and planes if I had a secure ETA on this and the two planes.

Well as its in the 2012 roadmap then I'd say the next 6 months is a reasonable estimate.

777 seem to tackle development in achievable chunks so I can't imagine we'll be waiting too long for the map and two planes. Also the maps not just water, Flanders is an exciting area for the British and Central flyer.

Same here. I want the map, and am willing to pre-pay, but I'd like to see an ETA as well before the credit card takes a hit.

A month or so, sure. But unknown... no.

Question everything!

Still hoping they pull a rabbit out and include the terrain area around London, not necessarily all the buildings, etc. of course, but at least the geography so that it can be done in the future (near of far), if not by the devs, then by third party teamwork.

Agreed, London from the air would be amazing... if not now but sometime in the future.

Besides, what will our Zeppelins bomb?
