First off forget the in game maps for this, you'll find them too vague to be of much help. There's a functional Compass in the HUD ( F5 ). Unfortunately the HUD consists of 4 more immersion stealing gauges, along with a printed panel which is useful, but not for this. So we'll grab the printed panel by it's Left edge, and slide it off screen ( Grab it anyplace else, it won't move).
Now the four gauges change their function one by one and cycle into oblivion. . . Shift+Control+1/2/3/4/5 . . Hopefully all that remains is the Compass, which you move anywhere you desire
Phase III was promised to install on Vista and it did.
However there is a part of OFF that COULD BE Problematic to VISTA Namely CFS3 QC

In order to prevent accidental exposure it was rather well Hidden Away

NOTE: . . As of late, a great many computers have appeared on

the scene, equipped with Windows 7 64 bit.

Nowdays it seems the accepted practice of 'I buy power' as well

as many other custom builders, to use it.

Also I should think more than a few 'disgrunteled' VISTA users,

took that path as well.

Seeing as this little piece of information, was originally written

long before the release of Windows 7, I can safely say . . . .

Anybody running Windows 7, has no reason to fear CFS3 QC

. . Start OFF, go Directly to Workshop, there to find CFS3 QC along the bottom, clic on it. After some on-screen magic, the Quick Combat screen will appear, clic on 'Go to Field'. Then put your hands in your pockets, more on-screen magic, and the Hanger Page, that looks just like Phase II will appear. There's a Medal with a maroon ribbon on the left side of the screen.

Clic on the Maroon Ribbon , the Menu will slide out, you can customize your entire experience

Clic ON the term FLIGHT TYPE
You'll get your choice of: The Type of Action . . Free Flight

Clic on AIRCRAFT
You can choose the Aircraft you Fly . . . Something that will handle rockets
Also the Possible Loadout . . .Rockets

Clic ON . . . LOCATION you can then choose
country of flight . . . British Fields England
area of country
airfield in area . . . Sutton's Farm
Time of Day or Night. . Day
Where you start . . . Runway
Weather
Season
THEN FLY

WSW to Thames River. . 2 minutes . . then hang a right and follow the river West

Be a good time to put your LABELS ON as there's many sites to see, and you might enjoy flying under the roadway of Tower Bridge
Seeing Parliment, perhaps throwing a couple of Rockets at Big Ben ( Yanks Only )
There's nothing to see past the Power Station. Save some Rockets for the return trip to Tower Bridge

PS . . . Phase II featured a fully detailed Paris, complete with Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower . . .this was few years prior to the Arch of Triumph

Since the Arc de Triomphe was completed in 1836 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arc_de_Triomphe) long before the Eiffel Tower, what exactly do you mean by "Phase II featured a fully detailed Paris, complete with Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower . . .this was few years prior to the Arch of Triumph" ???

Uncleal, Paris, in grand and glorious detail, is still available in P3. RAF_Louvert's custom mission "Zeppelins Over Paris" has a flight of Camels attempting to shoot down LZ30 before the sausage drops its eggs on the Eiffel Tower. I admit that the mission does not come bundled with OFF. You must install the Zeppelin as an addon to make the custom mission work. But "The City of Light" looks marvelous in the glow of the sun setting in the West.

Please note I got your name spelled correctly this time!

That's what I did with all my French wine. Of course it cycled it through my digestive tract and kidneys first.
