I couldn't resist the temptation to play this game. I watched a few hours of youtube vids and I thought wow, a zombie survival simulator! Spent $20 on Operation Arrowhead and downloaded the Dayz mod. You die and you're dead! Perfect.
I managed to stay alive for the first 2 hours of gameplay. I found a crossbow as my first weapon and now I have a nice stealth weapon..yay.
No zombie kills yet, and no players seen, but that's good for now. I'm doing a good job of fighting the urge to kill stuff when the risk is too high = first step towards survival :-)
Nothing formal. We just get on the SHQ TS server and play together. You are certainly more than welcome to join. The more the merrier... literally! We LOVE it when our group represents 20-25% of the server population.

I put 5 rounds into a camp fire by mistake last night.
I can now tell you what it sounds like when 4 people poop themselves at the same time over over Teamspeak.
You will be in good company, sir
Hahah good one.
The other night I was trying 3 monitor resolution in DayZ for the first time and when I turned my head with TrackIR I saw something behind me and thought it was someone sneaking up on me to kill me with the hatchet, it turns out it was just my shoulder stretched on the side monitors but it scared the crap out of me and I accidentally let out a burst of rounds... this just outside of Zelenogorsk, talk about getting freaked out by your own shadow and alerting all the baddies in the area
