Well here's the thing. After recently reflecting on my morals ( or lack there of ) following my first "Murder" when I ended up shooting first and asking questions later, I had adopted a tactic of avoidance.

Earlier today I had been heading into a town as I needed some water and still trying to find some damn matches! But as I was heading in I caught site of 2 guys running in just ahead of me. At which point I hunkered down and made like a snake as I slithered away. After all, I had spent the last couple of hours scavenging and had got myself a fairly healthy looking pack of goodies, which I was determined not to lose at the first whiff of a stranger!

So far so good, contact avoided and so off I jogged. Some time later I was getting very low on drink and was headed for another town, when off to my right I spied a lovely big lake! YES!

So a quick swerve to the right and I set off for it, practically skipping with glee like a little girl. But wait, not so fast Rat fans... There off to my left was another survivor making a B-line for the same lake. Weapon similar to mine ( a Winchester ) so I went to ground, but kept watching. Then about 30 seconds later came another guy. Could this be the same two from earlier?

My question was answered a few seconds later as the sound of rifle fire echoed across the valley. As I crept forward I could see the first guy had been taken out. I then saw the shooter run over to his body. And I doubt any of you will be too surprised to hear that he wasn't about to start administrating first aid following an awful hunting accident!

So I moved slowly into a firing position, got him in my sights and then...good night El Bandito.

I must admit, I felt good to have avenged the poor sole that this dirt bag had just killed and I look forward to further acts of righteousness in the future!

Any others you care to share?

Good going, that always feels great, when you observe the murder and can deal instant justice to the bandit as he is taking his loot.

LOL, if only. No the elusive match box still er... eludes me.

After patching to 1.7.1 I quickly discovered 2 things... 1) they can still walk through walls and 2) They are much more aggressive and deadley.

Back to the start for me I'm afraid, with my hard won trinkets a quickly fading memory!

I had something similar happen to me one of the first few playthroughs. A buddy and I were searching a barn at night and suddenly he announce someone had shot him in the head from behind. I turned around and there he was 20' across the barn looting my buddy how he didn't seen me in there I'll never know but I proceeded to put a bullet in his head at point blank range. What a waste of life.....

I've got a bad feeling about this.....

I've found some guys just standing around idling. Made me laugh a little when I found a guy loaded with stuff just staring blindly into the wall of the tower at the beloga? airstrip. I helped myself to his stuff but gave him my flashlight. I don't know if these guys are dead and there is something wonky with the 3d character but I've come across at least 4-5 survivors like this.

My character of the last month died today from a broken leg. I was trying to make it through a door while prone and all of a sudden I sank through the floor and my leg snapped. As a result I lost a lot of blood and then died. It sucked big time. It's the second time this has happened. I died on top of one of the roofs in cherno with a broken bone in one of the earlier builds. I think it was also due to crawling around an object.

I also almost killed another player when attempting to distract some zombies. I threw a can and just when throwing it I spotted this guy crouching beside the rail embankment, probably unarmed like myself. The can landed right near him but the zeds didn't take the bait. Lucky for him I guess. I decided to find some less crowded place to loot after that.

The zombies seem to spot you much easier in the newest build. No more crouch running into barns...

Made two kills in game so far, the first was a righteous kill, as in he shot at me first (hitting me) and I unloaded into him rather quickly (noob with a makarov vs me with an M16A2). The second however was not so, probly the first time in a video game I have felt bad for another player, and maybe even remorse.

I was up by the north- eastern airfield near krasnostav after a long trek from Gorka, thru Berezino and then up north to krasnostav. I had searched the control tower, and the hangars and was getting ready to come out of the last hangar when I heard the sharp crack- crack of a pistol firing, getting closer, followed by the steady footsteps of someone on the other side of the wall. Quickly swapped to my AK-74, set it to full auto, and pied around the corner of the hangar.

There he was ghillie suit with an M4A1SSD CCO looking somewhere off to my right. Lined up and quickly unloaded into him, not giving him chance to even look at me. Doubt he even knew I was there, or had an inkling, I am usually a ghost when I sneak through towns, almost never shoot, and only move fast under cover, most people I meet I stay away from and watch them go by.

Threw a smoke grenade to cover his body while I looted it, and wow! totally loaded for bear, 6 SD mags for the M4, NVG's, a toolbox, epi pen, blood bags, coyote backpack, the works. Took all I could and then hid the body.

Felt bad for the guy, he must be pissed as hell, but hey I'm all set now for just about anything!
However I am now left feeling guilty and wondering if I had said something maybe we could have teamed up and worked together for a bit, oh well whats done is done and I am much better equipped for it.

I hope you are not expecting much for Christmas after that haul!
