Oh I see, they're conflicting mods.
Which is better, the "AI gunner mod" or the Avimmimus gunner mod?

Hello,

To clarify:
- Gavagai's gunner mod keeps gunners from shooting trhough the fuselauge
- The Avimimus gunner mod, incorporates Gavagai's work *and* increases gunner dispersion, decreases the rotation rate of the gunner positions and heavily reworks the AI settings.

I'd recommend trying out my newest gunner mod - if only because it needs more testing. In particular, I'm curious about whether there are any ways to exploit the AI.

P.S.
The AI changes can be reversed through deleting 'turretcontrollerai.txt'
The AAA mod requires significant reworking (it hasn't been touched since September).

Yes, but there's an update in the mod compilation that fixes the problem with criquet's mod causing gunners not to fire in 1.025.

Latest Avimimus gunner mod is just fantastic.
Gunners are still VERY dangerous but not snipers at first burst as mods off.
If you stay too long at the same place, you're dead. Just as it is supposed to be.
From the scout perspective, it's a 10/10 for me.

Fifi,, are you referring to the "Avimimus_GunnerMod_Oct" that's in the download from the first page of this topic?
Some of our squad have been trying out various ones to get the most realistic gunner mod for our Thursday night coop's

Fawlty, the mod i'm talking about, is on first page of the gunner + dispertion mod thread (ROF forum). It's the latest 1.025 one.
From scout perspective vs AI 2 seater, it's the best one imo.
From 2 seater perspective with an AI gunner, best is to stay mods off imo.

Maybe in the first thread you can give a short description of what each mod does? Some are obvious but "reduced flak accuracy" works exactly how? Reduced traverse speeds or what?

The game crashes when I use Avimus 1.25 with the new patch. Not really shocking given the changes. Just wanted to pass it on and see if others are experiencing same.
