Another trip to utube to listen to music I bookmarked and it's gone.... copyrite grounds....
As a software developer I understand,,but give me a break. I just wanna listen to the music. Not sell it to the Chinese. Who have it for free anyway....
I mean, if the groups music isn't on the most visited place on the planet, how will folks get to know them? and want to buy their music ..anyway.
Man, does Sony/Google piss me off.
Creeps.

or Firefox plus the Freecorder toolbar which allows you to record sound or download the video which will give you not just a video file but also an audio file. However i prefer to just record audio as it sounds better, the quality of the audio file that appears with the video ripper isnt great.

Please be aware that Google/Youtube will NOT take down a video unless a copyright violation is submitted by the copyright holder. They have some sort of audio crawler, but unless a takedown has already been processed for the audio being played, they'll leave it alone.
If you want to point fingers, point them at the greedy-ass music companies that are stifling distribution and free use.

Earth-bound misfit
What p1sses me off the most is when they do this with clips from DVDs that are out of print (or didn't even make it to DVD...) or public TV shows you couldn't buy anywhere anyway. So if they can't squeeze any money out of it then no one should have it ?
Cheers

i like it when i upload something and they delete the audio track on copyright terms, because someone’s ring tone in the background of the video was flagged.
Or when I uploaded contracted music videos, it flags it so I can even watch my own videos “Content is Not Available in this country”, wtf… its my video dammit!
prior to YouTubeHD and crap, i was on I.R.C. downloading music videos in DVD format or SVCD, I also recorded them and around 2003 I had an Archive of 12,000 SVCD Music Videos across 3TB worth of Storage. They all went bye bye when Windows Updated Promise's ATA Controller Driver and screwed up my drive's paritions.. i think I saved about 80. but most of them were all over IRC when i retired from recording them and encoding to SVCD.
funny thing is my old DigitalOverload Account was deleted,
yet half of the videos I edited and had up on there have been uploaded to other accounts with no punishment.
ie, some videos I edited in high school for projects:
Which is uploaded by at least 15 different people now. They all take credit for the editing, yet as you can see it clearly Says "Digital Overload" in the overlay and at the end of both.
i found more of my videos I edited for other groups/bands, but they get deleted when i confront people.
