Gentlemen, We are soon (two weeks) going to have the ability to fly some big birds with the release of WOFF. I am very excited about this. For the sake of immersion it would seem to me that a flight Yoke would be called for rather than a stick. I was wondering if any of you had thoughts regarding this and what key commands would best be mapped to ones controller layout. I will be using CH Flight Yoke and Ch pedals. Not as many assignable buttons as my X-52 but probably enough to approximate RL, hehe. Any thoughts?

Approximate RL, I should have thought you'd be using Force Feedback for that. Unless of course you mean RL in the comic book world of simulations

I'm much in favor of having rudder pedals, but a yoke? I see that as reserved for big modern, multi-engined aircraft. I'd think that to be an immersion buster.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But in practice, there is.

From what I've seen only the GOTHA has made the trip. I'm not looking to sound ungrateful, but couldn't the one Heavy be handled by your X-52 if you must

Thanks for your thoughts guys. Yep, stupid post. I looked into the controller more and see it is basically a stick with a steering wheel and not a yoke as such. Keeps things simple and that's good. Guess I'm just too excited.
