Thanks for the heads up. Prefer getting it from GamersGate than Steam as there is less hassles with mods and updates. Coming from a smaller foreign developer I would not be surprised if there were some delays with updates for the Steam version compared to the retail version. A downloadable version from GamersGate (or the Bohemia Interactive store) is essentially the same as the retail version and will update using the same patches released by the developer for retail copies.

I'll probably be buying from Gamersgate. In my region, GG usually releases a game a few hours or even a day earlier than we get it on Steam.
I refuse to buy a flight sim that I have no interest in playing, on the off chance that MAYBE someday they'll make the one I really want to play.

Looking at the countdown on Steam it will release at 6pm on Friday 25th! So I guess I'll be getting from Gamersgate too.

Will the download be on steam,if we buy from gamersgate? No, it's not a Steamworks game, if you get from Steam you DL from Steam if from GG then you DL from there etc.

You can often use the serial number you get from GamersGate to download from Steam. I've done that with a few games in the past.

You can often use the serial number you get from GamersGate to download from Steam. I've done that with a few games in the past. Only if it states that on the Gamersgate page of the game, which it doesn't in this case.

Play.com just took my money. I pre-ordered it, for only €20. Hope now they ship it too. I cancelled my pre-order from Play as they are not known for rushing newly released games out, even though it was £5 cheaper.
