Alright,
I have the TSH Iraq Pac v2 installed.
I installed Warefare and the fix.
I don't see any new weapons or aircraft? Is is only for created missions and not the stock missions and Camp?

please do not download or install warfare fix until all compatibility and mission issues are installed. search the forums for more information.

The above scenario seems to repeat itself. Just wondering why Warfarefix is apparently still available for download if it is not to be downloaded and installed? Wouldn't it make sense to pull the download?

we are working to pull the download, and are trying to get into contact with our site builder. until then, simply do not download it. if you download it, just don't install it.

what's the deal w/warfix ??? I DL'ed both WARFAREFIX_V1 & WAFAREFIX_V1_FIX4, but because of probs w/X45 I haven't installed either(Thanx Saitek,heh,heh). So should I wait or what?? I thought WAFAREFIX_V1_FIX4 was a patch & corrected everything

there still is a CTD issue with warefare fix during the stock campaign.

No other aircrafts then the F/A-18E can have visible weapons on their wings, that's what the Jane's team did with the game, they put all their efforts on the F-18.

In the mission builder you CHOOSE what weapons the other jets will carry (exemple F-15E will carry 12xGBU12Ds or something) and the AI will employ those weapons, but you can't see them on the wings. Have nothing to do with warfare.

To elaborate further regarding the above: The CTD issue is actually quite minor and is being worked on. Maverick discovered that CTD with WARFAREFIX occurs in only one mission [mission 1B05AE in the stock campaign, which is the mission in which the player is to stop blockade runners (cargo ships) in the Murmansk area]. Maverick has flown nearly 30 missions total and 9 campaign missions now with WARFREFIX, and there has been only one mission (the aforementioned stock campaign mission) in which there has been CTD.

There are other, minor problems being worked on such as (1) the weapons loadouts for certain aircraft are not what the stock weapons loadouts were; (2) the Tomahawk missile is not available in the aircraft screen selection in the mission builder; you can't add it to any mission, if it's been previously placed in a mission it's been replaced by the VC-25.

Remember, TSH v1 was released with idiosyncracies (bugs ) that were never subsequently worked on, whereas all of the aforementioned relatively minor problems with WARAFARERIX are actively being worked on now.

In addition to what Maverick said in his post above in response to your post above, Tatsu: The new weapons and aircraft are also only seen in the mission builder and in new missions created with the new weapons and aircraft, so what you are experiencing as described in your post above is not a bug or problem with WARFAREFIX.

OK, sounds as if we're not far at all from a workable Warfarefix. Good work, folks!

Well I was at the TSH site grabbling some files and saw and downloaded WArfarefix and the patch for it. I ran the install program and this funny looking installer popped up and it said it was installing the program and then a counter started and never stopped. Got up to something like 8400+ and finally did a ctrl-alt-delete to stop it after 10 minutes. Rebooted and started up F18 and it seems to be running and I don't see where the attempted install did anything.

Now I come here and the message I run into says don't install it.

Don't know what happened, or if my install now will have problems. Why doesn't that website remove them or place a warning about them?

southernman, the installing problem that you describe above is not a problem that any tester or anyone else has had. The reason WARFAREFIX hasn't been removed from the TSH Website yet or a warning given about the installing problem that you had is that there are only a few minor problems (as described in my post above dated 03-13-2004 03:05) that still need to be worked out, and we're working on them, and until you mentioned your installing problem above, no problem like that has come up. If you hadn't downloaded WARFAREFIX and encountered your installing problem and told us about it, we would never have known about it. I'm going to let the TSH guys dealing with WARFAREFIX know about the installing problem you describe, so that they can address it.

Regarding your wondering "if my install now will have problems": Have you had any problems? You shouldn't have any problems, but if you do, let us know here.
