looking forward to it...tomorrow... but who wants to bet that the Battle Net authentication servers can't handle the volume... and most don't get it playing for a day or two. wink Hope I'm wrong.

Which is why I am not in a hurry and will download it early Thursday morning and not plan on playing until Thursday afternoon.

Didn't I say in the last D3 thread that I wasn't going to buy it at launch? Um, I lied. Good thing I already had half of this week scheduled off from work (too bad I do have some things to do besides play D3).

Got home with my copy a little after midnight.... had to set compatibility mode for windows XP sp3 and admin to get the installer to start... Dunno why cuz my buddy who is here with me had no problems on his windows 7 laptop, but whatever, the set-up is about 31% and waiting until 3 AM EST to get started lol. Got about 12 Monster Energy drinks ready in the fridge and a bunch of snacks in the cabinets lol. Not sure what kind of battle.net info you would need to friend me in-game.... anyone know? Be kewl to slay the demons of hell with some fellow SimHQers.

~~EDIT~~

Battle.net is saying my battletag is Spyder13#1687 so maybe that's what you'll need?

Got booted from the servers a while ago. Can't reconnect.

I wish authentication was as simple as having a cd rom in the drive so I could at least play the game... sigh.

smile
Growing pains, I know. But it's not a nice first time Diablo playing experience.

Played ~4 hrs yesterday (initially had login problems, too) and like the game so far. Gameplay with my Demon Huntress is dynamic, quick and fun, the overall story presentation got improved quite a bit and I like the art style. Difficulty is IMO a bit on the easy side on "normal", but I'm really not far into the game.

I played to level 15 and finished act 1 this morning. Lots of fun, I've been doing some co op with people from the Anandtech forums. Was very laggy but playable last night.

I know a lot of people have bashed the "online single player" aspect, but I'm kind of digging it. There are time I just want to play by myself, and it's nice to know that I can do that without feeling like it's just wasted time.
