and just got Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol to watch this week I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Also oddly proud of Cruise for sharing the hero spotlight with Jeremy Renner. Enjoyed the many nods to the fist flick (I loved the first one). Fully expected to see Max at one point. LOL

but wasn't original either. Nope. It had essentially the same story and formula as Carpenter's "The Thing". If you read any of the previews and saw the trailers for it, it was pretty obvious that it was not going to be original in any way.

The Walking Dead, they aired the first 6 episodes this weekend, I have only seen 2 so far, very good IMO
This Thursday they`ll show the whole 3rd season of Californication, very much looking forward to it.
The last movie I saw in the Cinema was Avatar. On my recorder Inglorious Basterds and Hurt Locker is waiting.

I have a boxed set of Bonanza episodes. Hoss still puts a grin on my face. Last thing I watched and didn't fall asleep watching was State of Play with Russel Crowe and Helen Mirren. By the numbers whodunnit movie. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0473705/

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0473705/ Something I just found out today was how many episodes they made per yer early in the series. Can you see someone trying to do 34 one hour episodes in a single season now? List of Bonanza episodes: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Bonanza_episodesWheels

My set has 34 episodes exactly so it is probably one complete season. They threw in 3 episodes of Wagon Train too. Most likely. At the moment the only seasons released, according to Wikipedia, are seasons 1 through 3. Wheels

If you read any of the previews and saw the trailers for it, it was pretty obvious that it was not going to be original in any way. You're right of course. I did see trailers and some interviews and I didn't expect it to be groundbreakingly different than the original. Logically, there's no reason to believe the THING would act or replicate any differently than in the 1982 version, so there's not going to be a different modus operandi and different plot points from the original. It's still going to be a who can you trust/who's infected sort of chiller. But a few surprises might have been incorporated. For what it was I enjoyed the new [i]Thing[/i}.

TV - don't have cable and reception with just an antenna is crappy here, so I haven't watched TV at home in probably 3 or 4 years. The last thing I watched was probably either CSI (original), MXC, UFC, or Star Trek: Enterprise.
Movie - Haywire, just last night. It wasn't bad.
