TK was releasing a patch each month and would really like to see SF2NA fixed to where it's enjoyable and winnable. My apologies in advance if I overlooked a patch making it playable and Russian fleet not spawning in the middle of the US fleet.

My apologies in advance if I overlooked a patch making it playable and Russian fleet not spawning in the middle of the US fleet. The April patch was supposed to fix this, but I've pretty much given up on this series. It's just too hard to enjoy. Not because it's too difficult to play, but you shouldn't have to work so hard modifying a game to get it to look or play better than something coded 12 years ago.

TK was releasing a patch each month Not really. Only the last ones came monthly, cause TK had to fix so many bugs....

I was just gonna make a new post asking if NA was worth my time. I LOVE the Tomcat and holding off for a playable set of bug fixes is very hard. Based on this thread, I take it we are not there yet?

I think you'll notice from my first post in this thread that I stated the April patch fixed the campaign bugs.

Completly and totally agree with Lion! What are you people talking about???
With STOCK (with absolutelly NO MODs) SF2:NA install updated with the April patch, I was able to finish the campaign (Victoriously) with both the F-14 and the A-7E and I didn't had any bug or problems with the campaign (such as the Soviet fleet spawning in the middle of the US fleet or others). In fact the SF2:NA campaign with the April patch was IMO the best flight sim campaign that I played for years (excluding perhaps Falcon 4) since the "old days" (with titles such as Jane's LB2, F-15, F/A-18, etc...) being one of the most thrilling and without bug experiences that I had (again in many years). Thanks ricnunes, I didn't see the feedback addressing the spawning, so will definitely give it a whirl this weekend. I have been cruising the TK forums and was surprised about a lack of comment on the fixed fleet spawning. Again, thanks for the feedback. Its been quite awhile since I played this series and can't wait to get the multitude of downloads available for it. Anyone have any good Intruder recommendations?

You can drop this into your stock A-6 folders to make them flyable. http://combatace.com/files/file/12061-a-6e-cockpit/Flight model feels a bit roll-happy, at least compared to the other TW planes. I've enjoyed playing NA campaign and a slightly modded version too, after the April patch.

I've enjoyed the SF2NA campaign too, especially after modding it to create '89 and '99 technology level campaigns. :p What affect did this have? Off of the top of my head I have to imagine the US got more capable strikers. How was this accomplished?

At the risk of tooting my own horn, you might like this: A-6 Superpack 1.1 at Combat Ace

Flew the campaign in the F-15A. Good fun, no bugs that I noticed.

Excuse my ignorance but where can I get the A-6 cockpit itself? From what I read your superpak is an "extra" for the A-6 cokcpit (resuming the cockpit is not included). Another question: Can I install this superpak without using the "Generic Mod Enabler"? Is it possible to install this "manually" just like the majority of all mods/extras for SF2?
