Cool. Which raises the question... Which Rudder pedal sets will fit into this one?

Like it! Triangles add rigidity. Screen stand is detached from the base? Should remove any shaking transferred from wheel to the screens. The pedal base, I wonder how fast it can be removed, to make room for steering pedals.

It is detached, yes.

Pedal tray should be removable quite easily. I do not have one (Yet) but it is on it's way.

Looks great!

Glad to see Chris takes users ideas on board for constant improvement!

Maybe I'll "upgrade" to this at Christmas and sell the old one and get plenty of legroom for my pedals.

Do you know is the seat position any further back this time? It was only ever possible to use it all the way back with a triple setup otherwise being too close to the monitors gives sore eyes.

Also are existing joystick mounts able to fit in the new design? I've cut mine down to a circle for the Warthog.

With the display stand free from the base, you could in theory put the chair on one side of the room and the display on the other side.

Picture 3 looks to be definitely attached to the front section with no resting on the ground.

Should be ok mine is usable just would be nice to be able to slide back.

The monitor mount & stand is completely detached from the main cockpit.

The link should be working again, we changed the product code and forgot to add a 301 redirect. Sorry for that smile

Ahh now I can see the chair attached to the pedal and wheel mount bars not the monitor stand! Awesome design, truly.

Would it be possible to buy an upgrade package and apply these improvements to our current older Obutto setups ?

I definately like the improvements, not sure I can justify another Obutto.

It's a change to the frame so I don't think so. Also I enquired about buying individual monitor base and the price and shipping is too much.

Cheapest option I'm hoping for is sell existing Obutto (maybe $400) and buy new one.

But I want another years use first and time for the reviews of this one to flow through before I do. Plus I need to save up for these: http://www.vkb-flightsimcontrols.com/produkt/gallery.php

Looks good, but seems to lack the old "work table" mode that made the pit more of a multi-purpose affair. I'm very much looking forward to a review, preferably by guod, as he could compare it to the older model.

As long as it doesn't come with some new must-have features, I'll stick with mine. The only reason to upgrade I can see so far would be the possible use of pedals superior to my current CH ones. Taipan, that VKBs sure look nice as hell...

It looks like it does have the swing in "table" if that is what you mean, check out the first and fourth pictures but it looks smaller than the current one. I like the fact that you can go big on the monitors for the stand.

And it still has the wheel mount so theoretically you could mount any custom table there.

Those pedals do look nice, but the height is an issue on top of the width for the old Obutto.

Even my Simpeds are very tight to workaround the space so they will benefit too until I wear them out.

Pretty excited about this product hitting the market. I've been wanting one of these set-up's for years with triple monitors and mounted hardpoints for my HOTAS.

I'm planning on mounting a 22" Acer touchscreen on the centre wheel mount as it's a VESA plate, and run 3 X 27" 1080p monitors in Eyefinity.

Is there anyone on these forums that currently run a system like this? How do you find it? Was it worth the cash for you?

Well word on the street is late July deliveries. So I guess it's time to start buying the gear.

Rather well-hidden on the Obutto homepage (didn't notice the lack of site navigation due to flashblock for a while)...

Really looking forward to this one! biggrin

Hi Deigs. Look through this thread. Lots of what you're asking about from the 1st Obutto.

I am running this exact setup with the previous Obutto model, I plan to upgrade to the new one though.

Pictures of that setup can be seen here: Click me!
