Anyone else looking forward to this? I am. Its one of my more favorite post WW2 setting COD games. I was confused by the story line like I usually am in these games but I loved the Cold War setting and mission locations. It has my favorite COD mulitiplayer setup bar none.

I much prefer the income based unlocking system of BO compared to the others as well as I enjoyed the added dive mechanic. Hope these features remain in the second one.

I liked Black Ops. Never even played more than a couple of hour of the new one, haven't even finished the campaign and barely touched the MP.

As far as I'm concerned modern combat MP is done best by BF3 and I have no interest in anything else.

And I'm actually starting to long for the days of WW2 shooters. I thought World at War was terrific. I'd settle for a Vietnam or Korean conflict game but the modern stuff is starting to get old (for me, anyway). There's just too many of them out there now. It may be time for these shooters to return to their roots.

I'm declaring me DONE with the CoD series... I really didn't like the Cold War time frame of BO... and getting bored of the same type of MP every year.

Yeah I think COD/MW series has gone the way of Rockband/GuitarHero... repackage, DLC, lather, rinse, repeat...

OMG They are releasing another map pack.........

But seriously I can not do this series anymore. I still have yet to play MW3. For me I am looking forward to MOH Warfighter.

Of the Battlefield, Call of Duty, and Medal of Honor series, I suppose I like MOH the best, it just seems to treat the military community with a little more respect.

I agree.

I think BF3 is best for weapons and sounds and such. I always prefer the storylines and writing of MOH because its usually always respectful and seems to make an attempt to be more realistic. I like COD games for awhile, get bored and annoyed with them, then pick them back up for quick mp fun.

But I've barely touched MW3 myself because it is more of the same and feels like they are rehashing the same thing over and over. They can keep the same formula but change up some other things to make it fresh and a proper progression to another level.

Crap. Sounds like they are leaning towards a near future, almost space tech and combat game. Bummer. Not my cup of tea.

Good grief. Someone make us a tactical, Red Storm Rainbow Six-like SOG Vietnam themed game please.

Just saw the trailer. I might like the SP/Campaign but I'm afraid of what the MP might be.

co-worker just showed me the trailer, I'll pass. I'm not into the sci-fi look of it. I'd play HALO if I wanted that feel..

This might be the best bet for that sort of game in the near future.

Hmmm...looks suspiciously like Deus Ex.

EDIT: That said, I'm a sucker for a good story. I love a good yarn, so if they tell it right, I'm game. The only thing that bugs me is if they pull another stunt like the game playing itself. Remember that YouTube video where the guy walked through the first level without firing a shot? Yeah. No more of that.

Not buying anymore COD games until they reinvent the series completely. Sick of it. I played about 2 hours of MW3 MP before shelving it and going back to BF3.

Also adding sci-fi to modern military shooters irritates me. I cancelled my Ghost Recon Future Soldier pre-order today partly due to that.

I can handle the "mechs" in games like Metal Gear, where you just accept that the game is supposed to be over the top, but in Ghost Recon or Call of Duty? Nope.

I refuse to buy a flight sim that I have no interest in playing, on the off chance that MAYBE someday they'll make the one I really want to play.

Interesting, rumored 8 player COOP Zombie modes. Including objective based modes, not just "kill to get to the next level" mode.

I detest futuristic stuff put into military games unless its specifically a sci-fi game and even then its far from my favorite theme.

I'm going to resist the need to buy this. I got sucked into MW3 and mostly regretted it. When I do get time to play, I'll stick with BF3.

I have to admit that i liked Treyarch CoD´s game MP much better that from IW!
MW3 is imho a big step back from BO plus the maps are, even for a CoD game, ridiculously small!
Treyarch promised something new for the mp and i will wait and see what that might be.
I love the GRFS beta so i don´t mind the futuristic setting!

One thing that would make me buy into another COD game would be for them to drop the lame-a$$ "continuously spawn enemies until you reach a certain coordinate" formula. Lazy, unimaginative game design IMO. The original COD was one of the best shooters ever without relying on that idiocy.
