I read the very good guide to aiming procedure with M60 but it remain me some doubts; I proceed like this:

- from the commander control I take the control of gunfire
- I indicate the target to gunner
- the range finder activate, i press M; I must move up or down the mouse wheel just when the image is perfect in the finder

But now how I can tell to gunner the range in the computer is ok and he can shoot?

When I play as gunner if the distance is in ballistic computer given by the commander I must only shoot or must regulate something manually before.

With T62 without finder how the commander can calculate the distances? I saw only the gunner has the grades in opticals.

Thanks (or Tanks?)

Sorry I don't know the answer for this one as I tend to do the shooting myself as a commander. there's a guy on the forum called flashburn I'm sure he'll be able to help. With regard to the t62 gunsight I'm confused as hell also on this. Flashburn gave me a quick tutorial on the t62 Gunsight link here:

Hope this helps!

THanks Skimbo, I saw the post but the scale of commanders appears so different from that of gunner that I thought I did something wrong. Also how use the grades of gunner for calculate the distance is not clear; I raise and low the grade but when i can assume I found the distance: "If a tank fills scale from top to bottom" is not very clear to me respect the form of grades.

Allo again mate

I think the ranging element of the sight that flashburn mentions can be found bottom right. Its a small scale with a line in it that that curves up. You place this scale sight over the target and say for example it filled pretty much all of the sight the range would be 1000m. You adjust the main gun sight with the mouse wheel - the scale on the far left is apparently for AP ammo (sabot) rounds. Set the range accordingly to type of ammo used and go swat some M60s I guess smile

I must test more with T62, I don't have in mind the scale form. Sure a ad hoc addendum to manual would help smile

Im making stuff eek2 But you got it with that pic. Ranging scale is based off tank height as depicted above. T62 was a 1500 meter tank. That is 50% of rounds fired where expected to hit at that range. For Europe that covers, well most of it. In open spaces against anything with better ranger finder.....well not so good to be in a t62 then. But during this era this was standard on many tanks. The Britsh used a ranging MG of 12.7mm on their cheiftan. I would think that would work pretty well out to 2000 meters.

Just a tad better than ww2.

lol. No, graviteam did thier home work VARY well. Everyone has their favorite era of stuff right? Mine just happens to line up with SABOW. REALLY modern stuff does not interst me much in a game/sim. Alot on the human is taken out and replaced by gizmos. Not a whole lot of fun in my mind. Then theres the ww2 stuff. Ya its neat and all but....hmmmm everything has been done. Seems like it always turns into some crazy German super weapon crap fest. You would think from all the games out that Germany fought the whole damned second world war with tiger 2's (they made like what 200 of em?) stg44's, me262's and crap. My question is just when the heck will people tire of the same thing over and over again. Oh and now the BIG retarded game companys are going for this future weapon sci fi crap...........ugh. offtopic rant-on-off
