First off... if you haven't checked out the official TW PGA Tour 2013 site, they got a bunch of nicely done tip videos now:

http://www.ea.com/tiger-woods/media/tag/tips

2nd...

Been playing career mode, in the amateur tour, the average was a -5 finish give or take, so I was doing well and won 3 events, offering me a battlefield promotion to the PGA tour that I declined to finish and win the Nationwide Championship...

So now I'm in the PGA tour, on my 3rd event... played it this AM at Hawaii... I always do the warm up, sponsor challenge first, and in doing so got my first hole in one.... so then i went into the event... by hole 9 I was tied for 5th, 4 shots back from the leaders who had finish there round all at -9... so then I come on strong and tie the lead, at hole 16 at -9... I got this i think, 2 more holes, one birdy is all I need... but then to my surprise one AI guy with 3 holes left, ends with a -12... so now i got work to do, I need a birdy and a eagle on my next two holes to tie this new leader... I get the birdy, he finishes at -12, i go into 18, a par 5, 2 back... I make the eagle to tie the leader at -12... was an incredible shot...

I think we would go into OT, but it gives me the win credit.

Was an incredible game, and a big come back.

This version, thou getting bad reviews from the press because it's "too hard and frustrating", (which is what golf for the average person is, lol), is the best ever made. IMO

I like it, I haven't had much time to play it. I need to finish my round at the masters and get back on tour.

Magnum,

I agree with you 100%. It's BECAUSE this game is harder than previous versions that I like it so much and I think it most certainly is the best TW game yet.

They've really made you need to practice your short game to be successful around the greens. Hitting a good shot out of the bunker or the rough takes more skill than it did in any previous version of the game.

The game can still be easy on Pro difficulty (especially if you have the caddie feature enabled) but I'm finding Tour Pro to be a real challenge and it feels more like a real round of golf. Sure, I know some people can still shoot well under par but I'm enjoying the struggle of just trying to shoot par. And sometimes a round of +3 feels like a good round of golf.

Kudos to EA Sports on this version of the game. Two thumbs up from me on this year's offering.

I'm finding its never the same thing twice with me when I play it. One round I will just own the course on the career mode, and the next I'll be like +7. Same course, same conditions... (Tour Pro difficulty) About the time I feel like I've got the hang of it, the game laughs and throws me for a loop. "Nice eagle there bro. Now here's a +5 on one hole. BWAHHAHAHAH!"

I refuse to buy a flight sim that I have no interest in playing, on the off chance that MAYBE someday they'll make the one I really want to play.

I really like the swing mechanic in this version. It shows how staying in plane (in the slot) or not can affect your shots. Also, the variety of ways you can change your address to the ball. The golf ball flight physics based on lie, club loft, stance, etc. seem right as far as I can tell. The in game currency, coins and the booster pins seem a little gimmicky, but maybe I'll gain appreciation for them as I earn free rounds on the DLC courses. Overall, I really like the game this year. I'm working on becoming eligible for the tournaments at the SimHQ CC. I accepted the Battlefield promotion and joined the PGA Tour rather than continue with the Nationwide Tour.

I just finished the TPC Scottsdale daily tournament round at -7. I expect to get crushed, LOL ...

Glad you were able to enjoy your round sSnakeyes. I pushed the tees up to Blue and allowed Boost Pins. Haven't tried it myself yet. I plan to later today.

Yep, I was able to get in with no trouble at all Leemz. I thought about discarding my scorecard after my round and trying it again, but I didn't want to tempt fate. I imagine we will see some -20s from the shorter tees. I found TPC Scottsdale fairly easy with my golfer and his skills aren't that high.
