Agreed, may fav so far "Wow just superb work with the fences. Whoever did those deserves a pat on the back and a raise" screwy

That would be me then furbs.

We were asked for constructive criticism and that's what I gave. The point I made wasn't about having fences in a flightsim (hooray!!!) - it was what the fences do to help make a more believable landscape - better than COD actually where the houses do look like they are just thrown onto a texture. Could have used it to slag off COD, but they asked for constructive, so...

And don't appreciate being caricatured as one of the 'blessed ones'. Cheers.

Detail on the ground items (fences) is going in the FPS direction, so who's taking bets that BoM will see at least one crewable ground-based vehicle? wink

Fair enough kendo, but "Wow!" for fences? just seemed a little OTT.

Well, there's no house numbers. This is a real game killer for me. How can anyone do precision bombing without house numbers??? banghead

But it does sound like a patch is imminent, which is good news. biggrin

I have heard that the house numbers are coded into the amount of fence posts present at each particular residence. exitstageleft

Gooddayeveryone!

The patch is still laggy at times. Last week’s problems are harder to crack than expected. Particle and effects-related problems are still there. We’ll be working over the weekend to make sure the patch is ready ASAP because, we know, come on!

Today’s update meanwhile shows off some new ground vehicles made for the sequel as well as the screenshots of WIP Russian villages. The landscape is being built by an external team and they are extremely excited about hearing your feedback. Constructive, if at all possible, but I know, come on.
Hope this will keep you busy over the weekend!

Have a great weekend!

I figure there ought to be a link to the update at least in this thread
I said it would be pics of trucks and sandbags, I was close, it was APC's and Houses.

Not true at all, my expectations have lowered to the point where I'm simply not surprised.

When SimHQ publishes its own games, then you might see critical forum posts removed about its games (even then, I doubt it), but until then there's these - http://www.simhq.com/_aboutus/aboutus.html#agreement

It shouldn't be a surprise I guess, as they are modelling the same thing, but as a Red Orchestra player those villages look really similar. The level of details is certainly pointing at some sort of ground-based game in BOM?

We will definitely see ground action involving vehicles as a feature at some point in the series. When that happens is anyones guess, but we could eventually simulate the "D" Day invasion or even Panzers on the streets of London.

Ahh yes....robtek is an "enemy of free speech" when it comes to COD. I'm starting to think he owns a percentage of 1C since his position is always against the gamers that have the nerve to be unhappy that COD is not really playable a year later.
