I see many new cockpits are being made (like for the OH-68, AH-1Z and KA-50), so is there a site where I can download any more cockpits for this game, even if they are a bit unfinished.

BANITA is too modest to blow his own trumpet, so I'll tell you that he is currently making a very nice AH-64D cockpit! (not as good as the one in LB2 though) biggrin

Well, when Arneh was working on Hind cockpit it took him over a year. Maybe we should give Soczkien some time?

The game also has "A"paches (sans radar).

OMG, you guys still don't get it! And I'm called the n00b!? The 'Apache' doesn't have to have the radar fitted to make it a 'D' model. The AH-64D is a D whether it has the radar fitted or not. The only thing that changes in the name is the fact that you don't call it a 'Longbow' or 'Apache Longbow' or whatever if it doesn't have the radar fitted. The Longbow bit refers to the radar, with or without it's still a 'D' model!

Without radar, it can be called: AH-64D.

With radar, it can be called: AH-64D, AH-64D Longbow, AH-64D Apache Longbow, AH-64D Longbow Apache.

Oh, and the 'A' model Apache is NOT the 'D' model without radar! The 'A' model is the actual 'Apache' (not 'Longbow') and has an analog cockpit, amongst other things. The 'D' model has the 'glass' cockpit, amongst many new additions.

The main difference : the "D" variant is housing a millimeter-wave Fire Control Radar target acquisition system as well a Radar Frequency Interferometer inside the Dome over the rotor...

So without the "Dome" it can't be called "longbow" or AH64-D.

The two models have "radar", but not the same and only the D variant is able to detect and attack targets even concealed by obstacles plus some features such as more powerful engines, radio modem for sharing tactical datas...

Hope it is clarifying things a bit...

Still, it wasn't me who called you a n00b...

Martino - That information, or your interpretation, of that you presented is incorrect, sorry. You are correct that without the dome it can't be called 'Longbow' (which was my point) but it is still a 'D' model. And no, the two models don't both have radar - only the AH-64D Longbow does. The AH-64D can still send and receive target data but not actively sourced from its own radar (because it doesn't have one fitted). Again, sorry Martino but your understanding - or interpretation at least - is fundamentally flawed. I appreciate your input but please don't try to tell us that basically you are right when you are so blatantly wrong.

BANITA - Thanks my friend, I knew you were only trolling!

I see that I started a trend of similar calls for new cockpits on other threads... guess I was only saying what was on everybody's mind. Yeah, I know that making cockpits is hard (somewhere I read that making one cockpit takes double time that it takes to make a 3D model of an aircraft together with its FM), but it's also hard not to ask for them after you are teased by great screenshots.

Oh, well... Happy Easter EECH players and modders!
