I'd like to get a showing of who has which version of the game, Regular or Collector's Edition.

The reason I'd like to know is so if any of you only have the Regular version I'll be sure not to set up any tournaments with courses that are exclusive to the Collector's Edition.

I may decide to do a few Daily Tournaments with one or two of those courses, however (perhaps on Pinehurst and Oakmont). But, I want to keep everyone involved as often as possible.

Also, do you guys want a mix of daily and weekly tournaments or just daily or just weekly? I think a mix would be good because some people won't always want to commit to playing 4 rounds.

Also, if any of you plan on buying any DLC courses perhaps you could let us know which ones. Personally, I'd probably only be interested in buying: Banff, Black Wolf Run, Spyglass Hill and maybe one more.

Anyway, I'm open to suggestions.

I have the collector's edition and I would vote for a mix of daily and weekly tournaments.

Not sure if I'll buy any DLC courses. I usually don't but we shall see. I'll be sure to let you know if I do decide to get any.

Nice hat, looks good on you though.

Collector's edition here too. Probably won't be getting much if any of the DLCs. I bought them all last year and it left a sour taste in my mouth after doing so.

I wouldn't mind a mix of dailies + weeklies. A daily tournament might help with getting the club loyalty bonuses, but more people would be likely to play weeklies.

I refuse to buy a flight sim that I have no interest in playing, on the off chance that MAYBE someday they'll make the one I really want to play.

I have the Collectors Edition. I may be willing to buy a few DLC courses if they are needed for CC tournaments. Otherwise, I wouldn't buy any.

I would like a mix of daily and weekly tournaments. How many rounds do we need to play for a daily tourney? If it's one or two, I could probably do some of them. The weekly tournaments are more appealing with my work schedule. I should be able to crank out 4 rounds in a week.

Collector´s Edition here as well. Will probably get a few of the DLC courses as long as they aren´t fantasy ones.

Would prefer weekly tournaments but should be able to join one of the daily tournaments from time to time.

I dont have it yet. BX should have it Monday. On that note, I like the weekly and Daily ideas. Is there anyway to set up the Dailies as a nine hole instead of 18? This might attract more players during the week.

WOW did the first round of this weeks this AM... ended +9

I do extremly well on the drives and 2nds... but suck bad on putting... I got within 3 yards of the couple most of the time, every bogy or double bogy was because of duel or triple putts.. back and forth over the hole... OUCH.

but should get better.

Pick it up today on the way into work. I got the Regular version. I have no issue buying courses as we set up Torneys for them. Look forward to playing some when I get home.

I think once DLC comes out. If you put a poll up we can see which one will be bought or popular. Maybe make Dailies the regular courses and weeklys the DLC ones or Vice Versa.

-7.... eek2

Will probably start with the Tournament tomorrow and embarrass the club.

Even with some of the aides enabled I´m all over the greens, not to mention my abysmal putts.

But I really like this game! smile

I stunk the joint up with my opening round. I might play a bit and try and get some done tonight or later this week. I need a huge handicap, because I suck.

If you add any dailies, I'd recommend making them short. Maybe 1 or 2 rounds of 9 or just 1 round of 18.

I'm hopeless without the caddy for putting, and Tour Pro is really challenging me, as is obvious by my tournament scores. biggrin

Highest score wins, right? biggrin

Collector's ed. here, plus the Emerald Dragon.

BTW, I have the original game. I wasn't sure if I'd like it so I didn't splurge on the special edition. Kind of wish I had now.

I'm average at best. I can make a few birdies but every round I'll make a triple-bogey or a double-bogey or two. But, I love the challenge. I'm not finding anything unfair. It's just a matter of practicing and getting a feel for different types of shots. I just LOVE what they've done with the short game. It's really challenging and forces you to put a little thought and creativity into they types of shots you attempt. There's nothing really gimicky about the game, which for me (a long-time fan of the Links series on the PC and someone who plays golf in real life) is very important. It's not perfect, by any means, but it's getting more realistic with every release. It still has a ways to go to get to the level where Links was but they're clearly going in the right direction here.

+10 after my first outing. Wow what a difference no caddy makes! Still fun and should get better as I go on. I did get a couple birides, a few bogeys, some double bogeys and I think I got 2 pars!

So far it's just how I play for real. I'll be sailing along making my share of birdies and pars and then wham! , a double bogey. It gets in my head so I start making the hero swings and it just gets worse : ) After about 2 holes of that I settle down again. Jeez!.

Yeah I was going along and sitting around +3 and then I had 2 holes where I couldn't hit the damn ball striaght! It probably doesnt help that my created guy has low stats.
