I like that SAM Sim, not only because it is unique, but because is "realistic to the switch", so this is what I searching for and for what I am working for... If you read the description on every mission (War of attrition scenarios, particulary), you'll see that many times 2 or 3 baterries open fire, but without score a hit... So, there should be a reason for that. If SA-2 were so good on low altitude, why SA-3 was fielded anyway? Of course, playability is important too - if any average user/simmer didn't score, they won't use the SIM. So the developer should decide what is his primary goal - realism or pleasure of using the SIM. Personally I feel that Hpasp is moving his focus from realism, but it's his right to do whatever he wants. I am greatful for his effort and the SIM!!!

War of atrition scenario - VII.02 -16.30 Missile fuse setting - USU-NLC, but: 8:21, Missile exploded on Channel-1 A-4E Ahit number 1 of flight-3 attacking 3rd Battery of the 5th Air Defense Missile Brigade hit by SAM. (miss distance: 238m) P.S. This is for both 5Ya23 and V-750. Hpasp has it harder than the real missile designer. Customers of real missiles would never complain about their missiles damaging targets they shouldn't have Lets wait for the next version, as I completely rewritten the Radio-Proxy fuse part of the code, and do not remember what changed since the released version...

Dear All, As it turned out, I will not have time in the next (approximate) half year, for my hobby of coding SAM Simulator "Realistic to the Switch"... ... so I decided to release a Beta version; v924b. It has no installer (you need to overwrite your current SAMSIM setup, with the files of the two part package), and only available from this forum. It has several fixes & new features (3DAAR, full LBII, OPF, OEDC), and also it has several known bugs. I will not be able to correct your bug-findings in the next 6 month... part1 (You need both): http://www.mediafire.com/file/rp9kxm5g199wcpq/samsim_v924beta-1.rarpart2 (You need both): http://www.mediafire.com/file/y4s1kvi01opbi94/samsim_v924beta-2.rarBest Regards, Hpasp
