I do notice you have a newer ATI Card, try the following:

"ATI compatibility: Current ATI drivers contain a bug that prevents certain shaders from compiling correctly. Normals maps will not work on ATI HD 4xxx series or older. Solution: install older ATI drivers (mid June 2010), copy atioglxx.dll into the game's directory, and re-install the new ATI drivers. Newer ATI cards should work properly."

PS- Anyone know if there's a config document where I can manually override the resolution and set it to 5238x1600? I don't see a config file in the game folder.

Go to the Wing Commander Saga launcher (Wing Commander Saga.exe)run it and select Graphics. You should be able to adjust resolution there.

Also try going to the source for tech support.

Right but I can't select 5238x1600 from that launcher. It maxes out to 2560x1600 b/c it only reads my single monitor.

Edit: The game engine does not support multi-monitor setups.

Oh man seeing those crescent Kilrathi fighters brought up a whole bunch of memories. And I recognise the badass human ships as well. Wish I remembered the names of them but the ship shapes I still remember. Gonna try this out.
They don't make them like they used to.
