Well, I read all the reviews I downloaded it and flew for a while and thought WTH I'll buy the rest of the Islands which comes with an RV-6, a little aerobatic 2 seater and a trike gear, lots of fun. Doing the challenges which mostly consist of landing skills at various airfields with crosswinds etc.. no biggie for us professional flight simmers with sticks and peddles, but a bit challenging for someone who doesn't know how to fly and flying with the mouse is actually not too bad if you had no joystick. I have unlocked a few liveries (paint jobs) by completing these Challenges and a few Missions (most of which required me to first purchase the rest of the island to get to the locations) found some Aerocaches, one I found during a mission required me to fly through a tunnel in a beachfront cliff to get it, that was cool. But I still don't know as yet what those points are worth except maybe bragging rights. I have at times had several people online with me and they could be altogether or spread the length of the Island chain and would jump from various Runways to gather but they cannot seem to do anything together except try to land on things and crash into each other. You can fly together but people right now seem to slide and hop around a lot and I have never been able to fly along with anyone consistently like I can in say Il-2 without warping around. I have FSX but never tried Multiplayer I can't compare it. If while you are together you decide to do a mission you vanish from the group, there doesn't seem to be a way of including everyone in it or any multiplayer type things to do like racing or skill challenges except what you want to make up yourself. Two major things this title needs is a reason to play it Multiplayer and Track IR. Rise of Flight might be totally different but they are using a similar business model and we cant fault the title on that. It is hopefully a sim that will generate some interest toward combat sims and aircraft operations, but time will tell. I kinda like it for some casual flying particularly at dawn and dusk when the runway lights are on it's pretty neat, but after a while it's rather boring.

Good Commentary,
I gotta say.I played flight for about 2-4 hours.I was quickly bored with this arcade game, uninstalled it,and went back to my beloved FSX.I was I have been with FS9 and FSX for many many years and I pick up FSX every week and enjoy it.I think that says much.
Flight left out everything important that made former MSFS titles great and the even bigger fail was the choice to not let 3rd party designers make their own freeware and payware content.Big fail Microsoft!

I can`t comment on Flight, as I haven`t tried it.
And I don`t plan to do so, as one thing what really bugs me is the lack of AI. What I love of FSX (and my new PC being capable of taking the burden), is that I`m not "alone". Highly detailed Addon airports, with lots of real world liveries doing their stuff. Vehicles all over the place. The sky full of contrails. Even when it means that I`m sometimes overtaken in my GA a/c on final from an Airbus.
