Yeah, no thanks. I have no desire of being a bloody smear at the foot of a mountain.

Either the video is sped up, or he's been going downhill for most of it, and at a dangerously reckless pace. His bike's gonna need at least a tire alignment after that run!

I have done things like that. It is a lot easier/slower than the video suggests.

The hard rock steps about 2/3rds way through made me cringe though. My back tire is still bent to hell and back again from a similar incident.

Exactly why I suspect it was sped up.

If the video was normal speed, his back tire is in seriously questionable shape!

it's not sped up. of course it's all downhill - he's riding on a mountain.

some people just have deathwishes - this guy probably doesn't have long to live if he continues this kind of riding

even with high riding skill a simple mechanical failure at any point of that run would have been fatal, eventually it will happen.

I have to agree with Longbow I've seen first hand the way pros bomb mountains like that. It could be sped up but they really do ride that fast too.

Also, there's a good chance he's raced down this path many, many times and knows every twist and turn.

Oh yeah. It's either that or he's got a really serious death wish. But since he didn't lock the front brakes on the numerous chances he's got, I'm guessing it's the former. biggrin

I rode a trail similar to this in Argentina. It was fun as hell, but I was not going as fast as the guy in this video. I was flying along at a pretty good clip, so I could catch some air on the jumps, but not nearly as fast as this guy over the rocks.

The guide that was with me kept screaming for me to slow down... I just laughed and smashed on ahead... It was not my bike so... LOL

I used to do downhill mountain bike racing years ago and rode things similar to this, in fact this a regular trail for mountain biking. The huge amount of travel you have front and rear saves you a lot added to skill and it becomes second nature. Looks a lot faster on camera too.
