the game runs super smooth on my system and is pretty damn fun. it's no FSX but it's got a fun campaign and alot of Microsoft Achievements to unlock like Xbox. It reminds me of "Take On Helicopters" from Bohemia Interactive.
Dell XPS 8300: Intel i7 2600 3.40ghz, 8gb DDR3 1333mhz, ATI/AMD Radeon HD 6870 1gb

I was coming back from Canada, driving through Customs, and the guy asked, "Do you have any firearms with you?" I said: "What do you need?"

Flight is fun in its own way. I enjoy the Icon most. Fun little plane. However, I dont see myself spending too much time with until lots more content is added to it.(More scenery, ai planes, track ir support for starters) Just not enough to do at the moment and the Maule and Vans dont appeal to me. The beta got old fast. P-51 is neat , but without a cockpit, its a no go for me.
It will appeal to many and hopfully bring more people into the genere. I hope.

3 words...Load Of Crap Yes its pretty but it is for the complete dumbass. This is not for the even half hearted flightsim pilot. It is so dumbed down its boring. Waste-o-money

Looks good to me (except for the god-awful clouds). It will be fun for a while as soon as I figure out how to make the controls less sensitive (lack of force feedback is killing the feeling of flight for me). I still can't see how it would appeal to the "average gamer" though...
Undercarriage lever a bit sticky was it, Sir?

Yeah no TrackIR is confirmed, also doesn't support axis mapping for toe brakes or trim wheel, but from what I hear this latest build we have added axis mapping for prop and mixture controls, so hopefully toebrakes, trim and TrackIr are not far behind, one of the beta testers on AVSIM said that was one of the most common beta feedbacks was need for TrackIR support so hopefully MS heard about it.
For me the clouds and scenery and the airplane cockpits are definitely not up to what I am used to with FSX payware, but if they get TrackIr working I can see myself running this occasionally when stuck on the phone or something and flying with XBOX controller, but I'm definitely not buying any of the DLC until TrackIR and full controller axis supports and hopefully those clouds get fixed.
Biggest pro for me is the performance, wow that 110FPS framerate and lack of stuttering is pretty darn impressive if only there was some way to retrofit this into FSX hehe.

I had problems on GFWL install too, which is strange since it has worked fine in the past for other GFWL games... How I had to fix it on Win7x64 was to uninstall: Microsoft GFWL Microsoft Live Essentials Microsoft .Net 4.0 Microsoft Silverlight Then run the GFWL installer and it reinstalled all those things itself, I suspect GFWL has bad dependency checking and one of those products needed an update or something... who knows, but MS better improve GFWL if they want to release stuff like Flight and compete with Steam and Origin on PC, hell it's their OS and they really should be the experts at this stuff, the GFWL error and support page was not even useful I had to google around to find the solution.

Yep, I was a beta tester (NWarty on the other forums). TrackIR is a no-go so are toe-brakes.
We constantly hounded the devs for TrackIR support and made a big deal about our pedals not working. No response was given by the team.

Thanks I will try it 1 more time, but with not even TrackIR support its already sounding like they didn't even care to consider the sim community. Really disappointing!!!! I've picked through both the interface and some of the achievements and other stuff in there. I kind of get the impression that MS has created somesort of MMO like 'flight'sim. Graphically it looks quite stunning though.
I'm a crappy pilot, but one hell of a shot.

try deleting the GFW Cache file from that folder and re-download.
also, wonder what planes are coming up as some of the acheivements are way out of proportion for what we have:
G-LOC Reach 12 positive G's. 10-G
Redout Reach 6 negative G's. 10-G
Mach 1 Exceed Mach 1. 20-G
32K Fly to over 32,000 feet above sea level. 40-G

@ Goblin, You can get the Warthog to work with it, just use the drop downs in the controller options until the individual device is shown then adjust axis' and buttons for each device separately. I've got both my X-52 and my warthog/logi combo to act nice together in it.
Main gear case with z370, 9900k @5ghz, 64gb 3600 DDR With more ssds than you can shake a stick at Logitech G13,G25,G29,G940, Thrustmaster Warthog FCS with T rudder, TCA Airbus Sidestick with two quadrants 32” Sammy monitor and Oculus Rift CV1, Samsung Odyssey+ Vive Cosmos Elite
