I'm so sick and tired of 'Bltchin' Betty' telling me my altitude is too low in Falcon Allied Force.
What does one have to do to lower the setting? The Falcon 4 and Falcon AF manuals repeat each other.
However, in F4...one would simply click the button up in front of you...then click the down button for the desired AWOL-
Both manuals show using the 'ctrl-8' keys....now one has to figure out if they mean the numeric keypad or the numbers atop the alpha keys.
At any rate, its becoming a burr up my saddle and I can't fly NOE with that damn thing constantly warning me of my low altitude.
Please help this ol' falconer fly NOE w/o looking for his shotgun to blow this damn computer all to hell and back.

There's a VMS (Voice Message System) Inhibit switch on the right console, just right of your seat and below the Zeroize switch (i.e., the switch with the red guard on it). You'll still get "pull-up" Break-X cues on your HUD, but Betty will be silent. No need to fiddle with ALOW and MSL FLOOR settings.

You'll never know just how much that really helped.
Now I'm puzzled at what else I have to unveal w/F4AF....
I'm so used to Falcon 4, that I'm pretty much spoiled on learning new keys...
That goes for all my other sims....I just can't bring myself to reading pdf files
and going thru the whole bit of re-training for another cockpit.
At my age...you'll understand my meaning. I don't embrace change like I used to.
I guess somewhere in the pdf is the breakdown of all the switches.
Hey...just gimme some cluster bombs, napaum...mraams and a few heaters and I'm good to go.
Cya at the lounge-
And Thanks again, seriously. I've googled my damn fingers to the bone hoping somebody else would have raised this simple question.

I think inhibit will also kill the "lock" cues and others. I think you should probably adjust the ALOW settings. It's been a while since I flew AF, but doesn't it have the data cartridge system as well? I think the MSL FLOOR level can be programmed into your default cartridge and then it would be that way forever without inhibiting the voice. I think you edit a file on your hard drive and save and that would set all your cockpit defaults.

Thanks Corsair..as I'm having some trouble caring over Falcon 4 key knowledge over to Allied Force.
I found that if I right click the AWOL button up front...it displays various setting over on the DED...
but it won't hold those settings ....I'm sure I'm missing somethin'
And a couple more notes I could use help with-

Don't kick an ol'man too hard...but at times I'll fly Instant Action using simple radar...
For the simply sake of Turkey shooting...easier using auto lock on w/the page down key.
And yet...I'll go into a HARM training mission to see how a simple avionic will show the threat/target sam site..
its a small blip on the (supposed) radar display...you bug the blip and fire...the missle heads straight for the water.
No Joy.
Switch back over to Realistic...no worries at all.

Secondly...I notice that using Realistic avionics...when I hit the flares key...only chaff appear behind me.
Where'd my flares go?
Flip it back over to Simple Avionics....wholla...there be flares in the sky again.
What gives? I'm I missing something all across the board here?

I realize that Allied Force might be a dead horse these days...and I'm sorry for troubling the folks here-
But Falcon runs deep in this house.

'Lock' cues from Betty still work.
