explosions making sound? that's new to flight simulators... The point Freycinet was making is that the time for the sound to reach the shooter's ears is modelled in this sim, which is impressive. You understood that, right?

Was it in Il-2 Classic by the way? Yes, in the original IL-2 there actually was such an effect modelled for the Mk108 cannon which was later (FB!?) taken out again for whatever reason...
