Hi folks. I'm new to ROF and I was wondering, is there any way, setting, voodoo magic, that I can perform to stop the freaking rotation of backgrounds in the various screen where they appear. I find them really annoying and it's starting to get to my nerves really. Thanks for your time!

I find them really annoying and it's starting to get to my nerves really. Thanks for your time! This happens to me all the time! How to fix: Reduce throttle to idle or blip your engine off. Stick neutral. Rudder opposite of the freaking rotation of the background. You may need a little forward stick. As the freaking rotation slows and stops, bring the rudder to neutral and gently bring the stick back. Pulling the stick back too fast will cause the freaking rotation to begin again, often in the opposite direction. Apply power again when level.

A little misunderstanding here, I don't mean the plane, not when I'm in flight. What I mean is the kind of museum that you have as a background. Like this: I find it really annoying, specially when you have to read something, like in the "Reference" screen, I try to read the text but that spinning Spad XIII in the background is a pain. Thank all for the replies.

It gives me motion sickness every time I have to do anything with the menu [...] Same here, not so much as not to be able to play, but yes, it goes beyond the "annoyance" point. To me, the problem is that, since I'm new to the game, I like to go exploring, go to different screens, read the reference about each aircraft, setup things and stuff. All that with an aircraft spinning in the background is just too much. I'm not particularly angry about it, startrekmike, it might sound like I am, but I'm not. It's just that the whole thing kind of ruins a part of the game for me, it really does. I'm quite sensitive to motion sickness, the whole game actually makes my sick, I can't play for more than an hour before taking a (24 hs) break. I can understand that, planes are planes, what you gonna do... but the menus too? You had to make my life harder with a menu? Nonetheless, with or without motion sickness, I find it quite annoying and distractive, yes.

Roger that. Im curious-how do you fly and engage in dogfights without getting sick? I would think that would REALLY mess you up!

I may be mistaken, but I think that the plane information is the same as on the RoF website (where you go to purchase aircraft). No spinning plane there either.
looks very modernishy-phoney-windows eighty-tabletty like
