As I understand Dogon against SCUD will not be.

Because SCUD is very fast speed flying Mach 5.

Dogon speed up to 1500 km per hour.

Hpasp, could you please put Vega (just one site with full load, no IADS) into one of the Linebacker II scenarios? Very little (hope so) work on your side but a lot of fun in the meantime for anyone awaiting Libyan puzzles...

Sorry, but no.

US attacks are carefully crafted flow of events.
(in Libya they maximized altitude, against the SA-5)

If I put a system with different capabilities into a scenario, where the US planes do not prepared against it, that is simply unrealistic. (Its not a game...) nope

Shooting US planes in unrealistic scenario is far from the aim of this program.

You still can play the golden age of the SAM's. The new version will bring tougher times...

Could be batteries of other types of SA included in those scenarios?

Meter wave cannot be tracked by HARM (it should be bigger than SCUD to do that). I think that P-15 works with decimeter wave and can be attacked.

Question to developer:
When in AAR report see:
Quote:
42:08, Missile exploded on Channel-2
42:15, Missile exploded on Channel-3

that's mean too far to hit/miss?
(It is when using K3/Dogon)
Did anybody ever killed something with Dvina in those modes in ver 932.3?

PS. Guys, I need a detailed description about how Dvina/Volkhov are calculating lead in K/UPR modes, what kind and how exactly they got information ( speed, distance...?) MAX2012, could you help? Your russian is best, please, ask in some russian forums or elsewhere. Thank you...

OUT OF CONTEST COMMENT: Hello Hpasp, hello everyone.

This is just one of the many ideas of SAM systems that could be developed for SAM simulator. I have seen that there were many screenshots available for S-300 and Patriot systems. There is a British SAM system from the 60s called "Bristol Bloodhound"

here is some info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bristol_Bloodhound

Maybe this can be a contribution to the simulator (if somebody has screenshots of the various command posts and consoles)

RPK - Missile Guidance Radio Command System.
You can select it to transmit into the P16 ANTenna (in the air), or just to the EKV (dummy load).
By switching on, you can transmit missile guidance commands, without launching a missile, to frighten your enemy.
(SR71 over Hanoi)

The other one is not simulated.

Correct.
If you use K3 (for incoming targets) or DOGON (for receding targets) you need to launch at least 3 missiles on average for 1 hit.

is it boring if I ask about who are not simulated switch and light and knobs?

There are several new systems (SA-10, Patriot), that could be simulated, but that would not be "Realistic to the Switch".
There are several older systems (Nike, SA-1, Bloodhound), that could be also made.
There is one system (SA-6), that could be made "Realistic to the Switch" after removed from the service in Hungary, and its "national secret" classification is removed.

Currently Im working on adding more Historical scenarios for the current SAM's, while montieris is creating beautiful panels for the future systems, that we do not have quality photos.

that's why you haven't enough time to answer all questions ...

any vote planned in future, as in the paste to choose next system to be made ?, or decision already made for the next?

Hpasp, a bug: targets react on "electronic missile" as if it were real (Volkhov, of course). They lower altitude as the "missile" approaches. smile

As to further development, you could consider S-25 Berkut (SA-1) - extensive documentation at Historyk-PVO, and we already know in which museum the panels are. smile I wonder - did they have a training site in Ashuluk or elsewhere? It should have demanded construction of another stationary site!

Yes its in Kasputin Yar, some 200km NW from Asuluk.

Blue screens looks more as a Battle management cabin than a fire cabin,
if it's new modernized fire cabin, then it will be new generation of fire command cabin bump

Interestingly C-400 can fire in Dogon
