They are? Since when did a JG have 1879 fighters on strength? duh duh A JG typically had an establishment strength of ~120 to ~160 a/c depending on if the JG had 3 or 4 Gruppen.

During the time period Sept-Dec 1943, for example, the 4 Gruppen of JG51 had 127 a/c on strength at the beginning of the month (not counting Stab JG51 and 15./JG51).

There was only 16 squadrons of RAF fighters that used 100 octane during the BoB.
The Fw190A could not fly with the outer cannon removed.
There was no Fw190A-8s flying with the JGs in 1945.

'Well ummmmm eeeerrrr..you see sir it was like this..we were out patrolling like were you said..just past the marsh on the other side of the strip..near the treeline. We had broomsticks instead of our rifles like you instructed since Dobson potted that poor old cow that popped its head up from the daisy field last week and scared the bacon out of him, nice steak too i might add if a bit furry..anyways..Dobson was point and we stopped to make a brew,he 'ad just gone over the rise to our front. So there i was with the boys stirring this lovely set of leaves that Mountbatten had aqquired from his late uncle when Dobson comes bolting over the rise..broomstick in one hand and what looked like a small pig in the other shouting 'LAND WAR MACHINE!! LAND WAR MACHINE!!'

I jumped up with a start and knocked out ruddy beautiful brew everywhere ! 'What the flippin eck are you on about now you cow murdering idiot! ' I shouted at him, 'what do you mean Land War Machine ?? What is wrong with you boy and what's the go with that damn pig!?!? '

Then immediately behind him came a trash can with a pop gun mounted on top , all set on a dinky set of skinny tracks..i think they call it a Vickers, should be called slow moving useless target if i had my way suh, anyways Dobson was easily outrunning, eyes bigger than golfballs as he flew past shouting 'LAND WAR MACHINE!! RUN FOR IT LADS, WERE SCARPERED, SCUTTLED AND SURRENDERED!! '

'Sir..i realise Dobson being your son an all, but ..can we please transfer him to the colonies..he clearly doesn't fit in here with us humans..'

'yes yes ..ok then Sgt Anderson Ferondensonson, i'll move my lad to the Land War Machine section..Happy??

ahhh yes suh...

Key point is that loss chart shows us a very small snapshot, at a very late stage of the war. If they go back to 1941, and do losses per front (N. Afrika/MTO isn't exactly Western front, but we can overlook that), I'm sure the loss ratio is very different.
