No mods were installed, this is the vanilla pre-upgrade version (2.370 beta I think). 1080p (HD) available. Captured in 1/2-resolution out of 1920x1200. Enjoy!
Yeah, that old version had the problem that deciduous trees in winter themes still had their leaves on in thermal view. That's been fixed, and might have saved you.
Still, I think I observed too much fixation in the gunner's place on the thermal view. You should make it a habit to switch back and forth between daysight and thermal sight on a regular basis, especially for proper target identification.
Here is some more of our misadventures in SB - but this time from the map view. Mission is by yours truly. The company attacks a little differently every time so we really don't know exactly where they'll be coming from each time. I love the editor and I'm getting into it again after a two year break.

I noticed it now the upgrade CD-ROM arrived. You're giving me too much credit though. I doubt nothing could have saved me in that mission of Zipuli's. I'm still such a newb. Or rusty. Whichever. Rusty and a newb.

Thanks for the tips. I'm getting better every night. As you may notice in the new video, it's me doing most of the shooting that time.
This take was the last of maybe six, the rest were complete disasters. This time we survived, but the withdrawal was seriously hindered, so even this attempt was actually a failure... We'll nail this one too, one day.
My voice is barely audible while the others come out too loud. There was little I could do in editing, however, or the simulation sounds would not play either. Maybe capture Teamspeak voice separately next time?
I just watched it again myself and I think they've done something to explosion FXs in this 2.6 payware. Look at 3:45, for example, where the LAV finally cooks its ammo and blows up. Explosions didn't look that nice before, did they?
I just realized I didn't show any of the cool new 3D infantry, but you can see them among the still pictures at the end.
