Hinch,

Another pass through the paint shop and it's done.

Ready for deck clutter and frame rate stutter. We have all the planes, helicopters and equipment for the whole Class. Now to see how many it will take before CTD on approach...always fun after a long mission.

You can even land the Vigilante on it no sweat.

Fully lighted as soon as 8 grinds through all the numbers.

Hinch,

Another ship in gray paint finally. The Newport News...sometimes AKA Red Crown. I was having so much fun testing it, I landed on the other ones in the test mission.

Newport News.

And the Nimitz.

And the Mahan.

Nice work yourself, Hinch.

We are sort of all dressed up with no place to go right now. We need to make some choices. We are still finishing Nimitz and are not sure which way to go. A Campaign-capable version really doesn't look like a carrier launching or recovering. YAP L and R versions cannot be used for campaigns. Also, we are not sure how many deck dummies we can put aboard. We aren't going to do a Full Oriskany version except for promo shots. This thing takes the game close to the edge. We don't know about TK's new water. There has to be an increase in memory demand. Putting out three versions is almost a gig of storage. Imaging downloading that.

Mike is working on the lights as it's his forte. But that's also not a campaign gimmick either. If you are simulating reality, you must trap at night and for that, you need realistic lights, not Max lighted material.

Anyway. Done with ships for a bit. Time to get YAP3 out the door.

We haven't programmed them yet but we will. Of course, for YAP, they aren't needed but they would be in any other scenario.

The Nimitz will have one missile firing and the Phalanx as we add them in later versions.

We will await the new engine to see. If we lose too many things we have created for the water, then we won't do it. We seem to lose something important with every new iteration and there seems to be no reason for it. The game goes one way then we have go work to pull it back towards reality.

I'd also like to see a version with the kittykats on deck to tell you truth it would be nice to have all of the Yap Super Carriers with upgraded 70's & 80's airwings the Forrestals, kittyhawks and Midways brung to 70's sporting the A-7 and A-6 maybe f/a-18's for latter mission dates

That would be a great YAP DLC

All that equipment was created to tell stories that started and/or ended on their decks. You know...combat missions? But if someone wanted to pre-order, we will consider putting in the time that would take. Of course, they would have no place in Yankee Air Pirate.

Here's some more deck equipment for the Nimitz. Have to repaint the Tilley:

I'd pre-order ships for campaign use as DLC, regardless of the era.

Hell, I'd preorder stuff period.

The only reason I don't have all the YAP stuff right now is I'm waiting for the ports to SF2.

And we are waiting on TK's new thing to see if it's a step forward but we cannot wait forever. We might rethink our pathway. The problem is keeping up with all these versions and all these patches just to end up with the same product.

We won't be the first people to get tired of this hamster wheel.

We have (or can have) all the aircraft up to the present in the quality of our recent stuff. We are developing an idea that won't compete with other similar offerings.

Kitty Hawk is in Set 9
America is in Set 10
JFK, we did not do since it did not serve in the theater.

Hi guys,
I've seen on SimHQ new pictures of your new aircraft carriers.
Can you ask this as a start and summarized version return to a model.
Thus, many fans could all use this aircraft carrier in SF2 versions. (Campaign and Missions)
If you offer to buy something, I would immediately buy the whole package.
Please make'd also campaign with one F-14 and F-18 aircraft in Desert Storm.
Best regards

80's forestalls and midways with F-4S, (or F-4N on the Coral Sea) A-7 and A-6 All in the 2/3 tone grey Tactical paint schemes Now that would be interesting.

Hallo to all!!!!!

There are news of the Uss Nimitz ?

I like very much the version with F-14, F-18 and EA-6B on the deck. ( No Intruder? )

We will have a YAP DLC, in future?

Regards.

Toro.

Right now she's a generic Forrest Sherman from the '70's, but a forward mount can be added for '60's goodness.
