After finishing the career mode as a beginner i am know getting familiar with the expert mode.

Even in expert mode it is possible to engage autohover. My question is: is this realistic, do real life helicopters have gyro systems that help stabilize helo's (i know military choppers do but is it common in civil aviation?).

Thanks in advance,

Generaly speaking, in modern helicopters: YES!

I'm almost 100% sure that the AW101 (the "heavy helicopter" of ToH) has an "autohover" in real life.

But regarding the remaing helicopters, the "medium helicopter" (Bell 412) and the "Light helicopter" (MD500) I'm NOT sure if they have an "autohover" in real life but I belive they do, at least regading the most modern/recent variants/models of those helicopters.
