I'm looking in the continental USA for a reasonably priced HOTAS Cougar joystick handle in good functional condition with no visible cosmetic defects. I would consider buying an entire joystick unit in the same condition for the right price.

There's one for sale on ebay right now for parts only starting at 49.00.
It looks pretty rough but maybe you can tell if it suits your needs.

By any chance, is this just because the handle on your newest Cougar had most of its paint worn off?

You caught me red handed. lol

Yes, before I disassemble and repaint this handle with the 1000 mission look, I thought I would check and see if someone might have a spiffy looking spare one kicking around that they would part with for a reasonable price.

BTW...The FCC-1 is AWESOME! It is very stable and precise. I love it. :-)

Yeah, I love my FCC. It was the reason I bought a Cougar - never flew the Cougar stock - had the FCC ready to go when my (used) Coug arrived. Flew the hell out of mine for ~ 5 years.

It was a real kick in the teeth when finding that after just a couple of days of flying with a stick that moves again...I fly better A-A and formation with the latter than my FCC. My brain just needs something to make up for the fact that my body isn't actually moving, I guess.

I actually have been flying either an FCC modified Cougar or an Uber2 NXT modified one. I find that they both have their appropriate aircraft/sim applications and I switch between the two depending on what aircraft/sim I am flying. I really only use the FCC for the F-16, so the Uber2 NXT has gotten quite a workout. Now I've gone and got myself a HOTAS Warthog to use in DCS A-10C, so that will be my new adventure. thumbsup
